I hope your nails aren't professionally done. I feel that YouTubers who spend money on professional manicures are hypocrites. If not, they look nice and good job!

I am with you on the Hallmark movies with a limit, since there is always a ton of stuff to get done in the house. Our official rule is that the turkey has to be out of the oven, We start decorating after thanksgiving and the weekend of. I am going to put my mental gift list on paper or my BUJO and start planning. I have cards that we purchased on last years after Christmas sales. Emmy I do love the idea of you showing holiday recipes. Sometimes the recipes will spark the memories of other recipes. Thanks for the Croissant recipe. You and Paul are the bestest.

We put our Christmas decorations up the day after Thanksgiving. It all looks so pretty. We watched on a new channel called GAC Family a very nice Christmas movie called "Much Ado About Christmas". Not only was the story enjoyable, but the photography in the movie was visually beautiful. Thanks for the crescent roll recipe. They looked wonderful. The waterfall and woodland area looked beautiful. Thanks for the helpful, lovely video.

I'm with Paul, I'm not a big turkey fan. Last year my husband & I didn't have turkey for thanksgiving & it looks like we won't this year again….don't miss it. Thank you for all you do! You're both greatly appreciated!! I enjoy cooking & baking from scratch also.

Amazon Prime was my Go To last year- could be this year as well. Our walks in the woods last year in fall and early winter were sanity savers. I so very much looked forward to them, fresh air , clearing of the mind, seeing the wildlife- fantastic! What beautiful scenery on your walk as well.

Hi Emme, you and Paul are so real! Love this. To many fake things in our world today. Love all your recipes, but most importantly is your energy that you give off on your channel. It is soooooo contagious. Makes me very inspired in saving money. I wish I had this desire years ago but I do now!! All because of you! People use to label people for being frugal as cheap. If I could start over I would tell my younger self to be "a good steward of money, live a life that gives you peace and contentment. Not to live for things you think will give you contentment, as we all know these things never give us this calm and peaceful feeling.Great video.

Since I have both holidays I won't start Christmas decorating until after Thanksgiving. I love fall and fall decorating so I will enjoy each holiday for what it is. But I must say, I leave up Christmas decor until end of January. Sad that we get excited for before holiday and after it fizzles out.

I start decorating November 1st. I just can't wait any longer! I decorate every room so I need time to do it and enjoy all the time and effort put into making my home festive. I used to do it the weekend after Thanksgiving, but that isn't enough time to enjoy it all. I always have Thanksgiving dinner in my home, so this way everyone can see my house decorated for Christmas since they won't be here for that holiday. My Thanksgiving dinner table is always decorated for Thanksgiving though.😉❤🦃❤🎄

What a joy to find that others love the beauty of nature as much as I do!

For some reason I thought you were going to put an egg wash on the crescent rolls…don't know exactly why. They looked wonderful, and you're right…people will be so impressed they're homemade! Have you ever thought of making them out of phyllo dough?

What a great idea to have no spend months in November and December…as much as possible. I already do that. I buy gifts all year long as I find them and keep them in a gifts basket. I buy ribbon and wrapping paper after the holidays the previous year, so I always have that. I know exactly what I want for meals and buy ahead anything I can. Other than that, I keep meals simple. I'm vegetarian, too, so I get a Tofurky for Thanksgiving, cook and serve it the same way I'd cook a turkey. The sauce that comes with it is Teriyaki, and that doesn't sound like Thanksgiving to me…so I make a red wine sauce…or sometimes a white wine sauce, seasoned with savory spices.

I usually travel at Christmas, so I start saving up for that in January, and add a bit every month. That way, I have what I need before the trip.

I don't put out Christmas decorations any more, but when I did, I put them out about the second week of December. I left them up through the third wee of January. That respected people who celebrate both new and old Christmas. (New: Dec. 25th and Old: Jan. 6th.)

As always, your video is delightful! I so enjoy watching them! Love to you and Paul…and Dixie! ❤

Love this video! I will try the rolls. Bought my turkey today and have the ingredients for the other dishes in the pantry except fresh produce. Working on the Christmas ingredients now. We decorate Thanksgiving weekend and take down whenever in January. Usually leave just white lights up on the mantle until end of February because winter is so dark.

Love your video's. Will have to try that crescent roll recipe. Looks good, ( maybe cutting them in ten's instead of eight would make smaller rolls) Eating out is a huge money waste, esp now. You can't even go into a restaurant and keep a meal down to less than Ten dollars. I do try to eat out at least once or twice a month just to support our local businesses. They are really hurting. I start decorating for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving, my kids usually come up for the holiday so I get the grandkids to help. that makes it fun. Plus I LOVE my Fall and Thanksgiving decorations So I need to keep that up from Sept to November. then it's Christmas stuff. ps. Love your friendly smile and friendly style.

I am new to your channel. So in love with your energy and encouragement. We usually put up Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving. My husband and I retired last year. We had prior to retirement implemented a 5 year plan to be totally consumer debt free. With that accomplished. We sold our large home and downsized to a small home in a different state that was less expensive to live in. It took alot of discipline to accomplish our goals, but couldn't be happier with our simple, and intentional lifestyle now. Love your content. I'm going to make the crescent roll recipe this week. Looked so yummy.

You’re so right about cutting back for holiday spending. I have a little bit of anxiety about everything being “perfect” so I’m more likely to just buy something new. This year my family and I are going to buy only one gift per person and donate the other money I might have spent to a charity. LOVE the shots of the woods at the end!! When I was little, we put our Christmas decorations up the first weekend in December and took them down on New Year’s Day. Last year I put my tree up the week of Thanksgiving just because of the pandemic—I needed something cheerful. But I ended up taking it down before New Years.
