    Please do not use chinese parsley. It's cilantro which is stronger. If you really can't find italian parsley, Chinese celery is a decent alternative to it taste wise.

    When done properly, you also do not need to add salt. Always salt your water to 1% salinity so let's say in a liter of water, use 10grams of salt. The pasta should be well seasoned and the pasta water will give you the additional salt which you may need for emulsification.

    Love the vid and very good effort.
    The pasta was bland was because you did not add enough salt to the water cooking the pasta. As they always say needs to taste like seawater.
    As for cooking time, usually, the packaging will indicate the time to cook the pasta.
    For me, I will calculate the time needed to sweat the garlic and chili flakes, for example, 5 mins. So if the pasta takes 10 mins to cook, at the 5min mark of the kitchen timer, I will start the frying of the garlic and chili flakes.
    Cook more and you will have experience in time management. 😁
