    I am a huge history buff in this time period and I have celiac disease sadly so I'm gluten free and that's an issue but this has made me so happy that I will be able to follow this recipe I will definitely try this

    Welcome to some of the first gluten free bread.
    This is really an artisan type bread, very popular today.
    Great for food shortages today using real flour as well. Lots of videos showing how. Look for Steve, artisan breads easy. Get some of the best recipes if you can use wheat.

    brilliant! I believe Native Americans would crush them and put them into a reed basket and place the basket in a fast-moving stream for a few days to leech acorns, then drying and pulverizing into flour for making a flatbread.

    My Chinese grandmother grew up in a very poor part of the fujian. She moved to the US in the 1970's and used to make something very similar to this for me when I was a kid. She says she used to do this with the burnt, leftover rice when she was younger.
