It seems there's never a dull moment around your house. I was nervous watching the guys working on the pump situation. You always seem so calm, Nili, that I wonder if you were nervous.

Our pump went out last year. Very expensive to replace. We've lived here 30+ years and that was the second time it has been replaced. Glad you got the water going again, been there done that.

Running water can be a real blessing (as in your case when it is restored to the pipes in your house 👍) or a curse (when it has flooded your basement or through a leaky roof 😱). Thank goodness this one, for you, is a blessing!! So funny how exciting washing dishes o doing laundry can be after days without being able to do these!!😆😆

So happy for you and belated happy birthday!

    Happy Birthday!
It's an eye opener when your water goes out. We have no clue how much we use it, until we can't.
Creative cooking with aluminum foil will cut back on cleanup, for example if you placed foil on top of your griddle when cooking the eggs, cleanup would be a breeze. I recommend getting some rain barrels, even if only for flushing toilets.
I will never take my running water for granted again.

Happy belated birthday Nili. And your husband got the pump working and saved money. The kids are sure enjoying your new home. So good to see. The lilacs are gorgeous. I miss them here in the Phoenix area – too hot. I always liked the peonies when I was growing up in Nebraska. Looking forward to the next video.

Last fall we sold our place on the Olympic Peninsula in WA. Less than a week before it closed, the water pump went out. ARGH!

I grew up on a farm. Well water tastes the best! I still cannot drink “city water.” But wells do have drawbacks. The reliability of a pump is always a worry, plus we had to occasionally contend with muddy water if there was a lot of heavy rain. It’s all worth the effort though.

Thank goodness your hubby is so handy! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous lilacs too. They bring back memories for me of our huge lilac bushes when I lived in the Midwest.

First and foremost. Happy Belated Birthday to you! Also, I'd never ever laugh at your husband's abilities! I'd want 2 safety ropes on something like that myself! The jagged piece of metal in my tire does NOT compare to having no water!!!! I hope there are no bears by where you guys are! Very pretty country, though!!! As always my absolute very very best to all of you including Po! Take care, all!

Yup been there…several times, in different homes, throughout my years … not really that hard.. our wells were 200+ feet… we yanked them out by hand…the hardest part really is the electrical end and regulating the pressure gauge… getting it out is kinda like replacing a pump in a fish tank on a massive scale. 😁 Nice job Hubby! The bushes are lovely. I love Lilacs! Happy Birthday BTW!

Seeing Renee thinking about what she can use a random item for is so cool! She could be an inventor or engineer, she's so inventive with her ideas!
