I love this recipe Jana! I used your GBB recipe to replace oil and eggs in some carrot muffins and they turned out terrific. So moist and delicious!
Why you call our biomass?
Next I’m in the shop I’ll look for the green banana’s to try this, very intriguing. :-)…
Yay! Thank you for another GBB recipe! I can't wait to accumulate a whole bunch of recipes that use it!
🤔 I might give this a try to make “icecream”….
Ummmm Iam going to do thanks
Thank you Miss Pa3cia
Does it taste like bananas for those who don’t like bananas 🍌?
I DON'T GET THE MECHANICS OF THIS:
1. CAN'T RIPE BANANAS BE USED AS EGG REPLACENTS, ETC IN VARIOUS VEGAN RECIPES
2. DOESN'T ALL THAT COOKING DEGRADE VARIOUS NUTRIENTS…
3. I UNDERSTAND GREEN BANANAS HAVE MORE STARCH, BUT IS IT THE SAME KIND OF QUALITY STARCH THAT WHEAT, RICE OR POTATOES WOULD HAVE FOR EXAMPLE
4. SURE THEY DO THAT IN OTHER COUNTRIES BUT DOES THAT NECESARILY MEAN THEY'RE MAKING OPTIMAL USE OF THE BANANAS……….WHERE'S THE EVIDENCE IS ALL I'M SAYING
I know it may be difficult for some people, but could I peel the green bananas first then boil? (I’d like to use skins for your other recipes like “pulled pork” 😉 Thanks!!
Can I just use flaxseed and regular flour instead of almond flour? Almond flour probably would have a little bit of oil in it correct? I made the biomass from your first video and I did use it in the soup it's thickened it up a little bit.
Why do you need to use the gbb in this recipe…just for an oil substitute?

I did make some with only two green banana's, just to try it out. I used some to make a white bean sour cream. I would normally make sour cream with cashews, but they are ridiculously expensive right now. White beans do work as a substitute, but I do miss the extra creamyness that cashews offer. So I used some of the gbb. It worked perfectly, I had a wonderfully creamy sauce.
Can't wait for more ideas to use this stuff, I froze what I had left.
I saw in the Nature study the participants were consuming 2T of BANANA biomass daily mixed in with their food for 6 months. I'm curious, how does the BANANA biomass taste by itself?
Would okara be a suitable substitute for the flax seed flour?
I wonder if it could be used to make tamales instead of flat bread. Maybe stuff with green Chiles and almond cheese ?
Hi can we use green plantain as biomass as well?
