This guy is killing me.
I don’t think tequila has nutritional value 😂😂 love it
Amy can you pour me a frozen margarita out please lol
Go Amy Go Amy go Amy lol. Eric I love it when you & Amy are together in a manner of speech. Yous 2 are a comedic act. Please make a video together some time. It'd be hysterical seeing the 2 of you together, noising one another up lol. Great video Eric & Amy's voice lol
Ps, Yams & sweet potatoes are not the same.
i love my evo sprayer
Instead of using a petroleum lubricant for the cutter why not use olive/cooking oil? I personally don't want to eat anything petroleum based… No matter what, it's still million year old dead dinosaurs lol.
Why not just air fry these without pressure cooking them first? By the time you wait for the pressure to build and then cook, you could've been air frying them and not have to stop, release pressure, dump the water and dry them off before air frying. It seems like a lot of work for a small amount of fries. They are cut small enough that they should cook through fairly quickly without that first step.
Yes! Outtakes!!!
I LOVE you guys! Just FYI, tequila always has a place in the food groups 😂
Happy Valentine's day! 💖
This ninja foodi just seems so clunky. An open lid in the way when I pressure cook isnt something I would like. And no fry basket or handle, just holding a pot? I'll pass. Ninja is supposed to be better than this
Maybe you could try the Foodi rack insert. Perhaps they would air fry better. Who knows? Just a thought.
I'm going to bet on a Philips air fryer winning this upcoming match against the Ninja!
I hope that ain't Amy's good knife. 🙂
Loving this! At the cutting point you could save the odd ducks to freeze for your veggie soup!! Just a small Ziploc full.
I love my Instant Pot and I steam cook lots of things, I'm a home cook on Twitter's Live-streaming service PERISCOPE (free app on Android and IOS) and I have thousands of followers (John Cooks is my channel name) and there is soooo much you can do when combining a steam cooker with an oven or stove top. But ALWAYS I keep in mind that I should be able to cut my cook time in half or even 3 times the speed, not making it more complicated.
My signature dish is TWICE COOKED FRENCH FRIES – which makes the fluffiest insides and crispy outsides, doesn't involve the steamer of course, good old fashion, deep fried, works great with sweet potatoes too.
RECIPE for TWICE COOK FRIES: take hand cut fries, soak in water 10 minutes, rinse and soak again: until the water runs clear.
* Spread out and let dry on paper towel for 5 minutes, getting surface water off before deep frying.
* As you soak the potatoes. they take in water (keeping get fluffy, the heavy starches are down the drain.
* Get oil about 350F and place fries into oil and cook until they are just going from soft to a light brown skin.
* Literally if you stir them they should bounce around and not cling to each other or break apart in the pot.
* Take them out and let them cool until you need them – even kept in the fridge overnight is fine. But get them room temp before second cooking.
* When dinner is nearly ready, preheat oil to 400F and toss in fries until desired darkness and crispy, about 5 to 8 minutes. * Salt and serve. They are so much better than single cooked fries. But the secret is getting the starch off the surface of the fries.
About The Ninja: it would be impractical to us because of the NON-DETACHABLE LID. Everywhere in my kitchen, it would not fit under an cupboard unless I turned it backwards. What a poor design, hopefully version 2 will be better. And ALL the air fryers are soooo big, I don't see the practicality of them – this episode proves that out. There isn't enough surface area in air fryers to make the useful for more than 1 or 2 people.
Tonight Streaming Sea-Bass, with twice cooked fries and coleslaw for Valentines dinner. Sure the potatoes are second fiddle to the Sea Bass, but still it is a fine addition to any protein. Great shows, congrats on your ever growing success!
John
Nice demo. I noticed when the chicken cooked how much whiter the bottom of it was. Was wondering since the basket is so close to the inner pot if it is restricting the air from a good circulation.
Hi!!! I just got that same sprayer from QVC yestetsay!!!
Hi Amy&Eric!!! I enjoyed that video so much. Im still debating about getting one. I dooubt I could cut the fries like that tho. I have no strength. Eric you remind me of my dear husband ♡. Same built same hair doo and he had beautiful blue eyes too. Im not trying to flirt at all. Just saying. I like you both so…much!!! A fan and friend. DiDi
Was anyone else half expecting eric to chip the knife? 😉
You need the original Philips airfryer the get the best results. It really does make a big difference.
