I can't get into steamed buns. They feel too..doughy. "Undercooked." Overall I'd say my favorite bun is just a potato bun. Decent flavor but is sturdy and fluffy. Less flavor than a brioche but it also doesn't distract or unnecessarily add to the burger or whatever sandwich you're having. Then there's cases where I prefer an "inferior" bread like plain whi te bread if I'm having a grilled cheese, or a Nashville chicken sandwich or somethin

The roast pork buns are a bit overrated at Mei Le Wai coming from a local who there as a kid. The steamed big bun are underrated and amazing stuffed with meat, hard boiled egg and a mushroom
