Sooo many helpful tips in this video! I'm also a fasting newbie so this helps me prepare my list and mindset going into it. Thanks for the Tuesday and Wednesday for grocery store fruits and veggies tip because lawd they are definitely a struggle come the end of the week, you're so right! Having a little one it's tough to manage meal planning with prayer life and finding time to balance it all. But God is speaking to me and showing me what works for OUR relationship. (Because we each have a very unique one with our Lord and savior). This was all so good. Food is mot just about flavor, its for fuel- amen! Thanks Amber and God bless! 💕

I’ll be starting next week so Thanks for the recipe ideas! Not worried about the food as much as I eat pretty clean . My real challenge will be life without COFFEE for 21 days! 😬. God will surely know I’m serious and sincere on my reasons for doing this fast if I’m giving up coffee😄. If you’ll have any coffee substitute ideas please let me know!!!! Though ,what I’m seeking from God is worth a few weeks w/o my good old cup of joe🙏. God Bless All on your fast!!

I started the Daniel fast yesterday. It's my 1st time doing this fast. I've fasted a few times with only water and I can last about 3 days. I found a few recipes to make and I spent about 75.00 for the first 5 days or so. I made a green goddess salad with cabbage cucumber and green onions. I made a vegan avocado dressing. Eating it with organic tortilla chips. It is delicious! I made kale with 4 different bell peppers with olive oil and a little seasoning. That was good also. I'm also making red beans and brown rice. Bought steel cut oats to make some granola maybe over the weekend. When I get a sweet fix I have been eating apples sometimes with almond butter. Ive been drinking only water. Of course I am praying and reading my Bible as well. Good luck to you. I pray that God answers my questions during this fast. My husband says he is going to join me as well.

Thanks for all your tips! You’re right it can be hard to navigate what’s right or wrong when it comes to the internet’s ideas about the Daniel fast. It’s pretty much anything that comes from the ground and not processed. I would suggest reading the Bible and using discernment from the Holy Spirit. After all, God looks at our heart. If we are uncomfortable/sacrificial during the fast and trying our hardest to please Him, He will know.

Thanks for also mentioning that you’re not doing a complete Daniel fast, but a vegan diet instead. I’m sad that bread isn’t allowed because I eat Ezekiel bread almost daily & it’s going to be hard to give up for me.

Advice for fruits that will go bad soon, cut them up and store them in the freezer for smoothies!
