My £10 ebay rotisserie! – kitchen gadget testing

For more great Instant Pot recipes, please visit InstantPotEasy.com

Ever wanted to make your own homemade kebabs on a proper rotisserie? Well, with this kitchen gadget I found online you can do just that – in this video I try kebab skewers, rotisserie a whole chicken and an actual homemade doner kebab! See what you think of it, but for me it was one of the best things i’ve ever paid for!

Although I bought this on ebay, you can buy the gadget here on Amazon, it’s supposed to include a door too by the looks of it!

I find that I get best results with a doner by putting the mince and additives into a food processor and blitzing for a few minutes. It removes the coarseness and makes it easier to carve!

The smoking when you first turned it on was probs the factory seal/plastic being quickly burnt off or melted, happens in brand new ovens aswell, stinks for bout 5 -10 mins and removes anything inside then youre good to go

I know I am a little late to comment but as someone who has worked in a kebab shop
Next time you make it , devide the Donna mix into 6-8 balls and place a very thin slice of cheap lamb steak in between each one and it will hold its shape and make it much easier to slice and it will remain upright and cylindrical the entire time it is cooking

Why in the hell wouldn’t you use a temperature probe to make sure whatever you’re cooking is at the designated temperature. Or are you trying to give you and your family food poisoning?!?

Chanced upon this video and it was bloody brilliant. Kind of how I like to play about with cheap tools for repairing retro computers, but cooking and I also love to cook. Subscribed and looking forward to more!

I've got a Ronco rotisserie. They are a big deal in North America. Horizontal axis, drip tray, tempered glass door, timer, kebab skewers that turn automatically. See if you can get one to test. They are very good. Ronco sold around 9 million of them over the years.
