I just started watching. Watched your Adult Happy Meal. Now watching the new crock pot one. Stuffed Peppers like Mama used to make. Where are you from? You were showing your town and looked familiar. 😀😀

I have never made stuffed peppers in a crockpot and am going to try it. We just stuff them with ground beef and white rice. We never cook the ground beef. It cooks while the pepper cooks. I am curious if you left the beef raw would it cook throughly in the crockpot. Going to try it.

Hey Rick and Kathy! Love the recipes! I still have the two crockpots handed down to me at 18 from my Mum and Grandmother! 30 years later they’re still going strong!!! Like the bangs Kathy! 😃💛

I couldn't stand those growing up either. Now, I love them. I always hated the pepper part and now it's my favorite part. I make them a few times a year but I never cook my meat first. I just mix raw hamburger, rice, salt, pepper and I sometimes I add tomato sauce to the meat mixture and sometimes I don't. I just stuff the peppers and let the crockpot do its thing. Never tried them with corn before or topped them with cheese. I'm going to have to try that. Kathy, I never thought about saying crock pot and slow cooker but now I understand the difference. Duh. I feel stupid. I hate using the slow cooker function on any of my Ninja's or other pressure cookers. It always seems to burn my food, unlike the old vintage crock pots. I've got to find me one of those someday. I didn't care for sauerkraut growing up either and now I will eat it. Like you, I don't love it, but I will eat it. Enjoyed the video. Thanks.

Here's my mother's recipe for stuffed peppers. I came from my Polish Grandmother. 6 big bell peppers

1 lb (500g) of minced pork or minced beef

    1 cup (200g) of rice

    1 white onion

    1 red onion

    5 garlic cloves

1 can of diced tomatoes or 6 large fresh tomatoes cut up

    oil, salt, pepper
Try mixing the tomatoes with the meat next time, you will love it. Not fond of the spaghetti sauce as it is not an Italian dish.

I didn’t appreciate all of my Mom’s and Grandmother’s dishes as a kid Rick and now I love making them. Good memories! Crock pots are great to use. Love making Mississippi pot roast in ours. We had bacon, cheddar chili burgers. Fell off the healthy wagon, but they sure were good. Wish y’all could send rain our way and we’ll send some sunshine your way. Going to look at leaves this weekend. Have a good weekend!

Ok, try next time red peppers they are taster. And no cheese, but sour cream. Precook stuffing in advance , fry grounded meat with carrots onions etc, add precooked rice and stuff peppers. Just try.
