FIRE HAZARD!!! I love watching your videos! I did notice that when you were plugging in your insta pot you had dried flowers hanging over the electrical plug. I would hate for your family to loose your beautiful home due to a fire. Just concerned for your safety!😀😁

I think it's good that the kids do chores and help in kitchen sometimes. Kids aren't made to help anymore and it shows. The fact that you try to minimize waste is good also. Homesteading needs to be brought back more. Especially the way things are going. Love your videos so much. Your voice is so calming

Lisa, you should try making molcajete salsa for your burrito bowls. A molcajete is a Mexican mortar and pestle. Broil until very brown tomatoes, chilies, garlic, onion. Pound the onion and garlic followed by chiles and finally the tomatoes. Salt to taste. Nothing like homemade salsa. Plus, a molcajete looks great on the counter. 🙂

I agree on the bowls❤ I do have lots of quinoa in the cellar to use up. If you are missing sour Cream for tacos, why don't your guests bring that over? The dish I do for impromptu guests is usually quiche. Crustless if Need be. I can make It as Big or small as I want. Other option is Just cut up potatos, veg and meat and bake in the oven. Also soup, I can do a pretty fast One. Or risotto, that feeds lots of people but I have to have parmesan and butter at hand. You are such an efficiente Cook!

I just want to quickly add the too have made me more comfortable working with sourdough, not confident yet to make a boule but I have been making other things like focaccia, pizza, biscuits, breakfast rolls and pide. It’s helping me learn to understand sourdough leavened dough and how to work it to suit my tastes.

I just love you channel. There is a war here where I live right now and a rocket alarm caught me while being outside with the kids… had to put on a calm face but was so scared on the inside. Thanks for calming me down and putting some joy back into my heart.

My go to is putting things in wraps. Easy and you can make so many things with it. Recently my daughter loves my sloppy jo wrap.

I can't wait for summer to arrive. It's been very cold and rainy this month so I still feel like it is early spring, not almost summer. Although we have some dishes we have on repeat ( like greek meatballs with rice and tzatziki, and sausage and rice) when summer is around the corner I feel like making a lot more salads. simply pair that with some grilled meat or shrimps and serve with bread. Foccacia is such a bread that can be made quickly, but also some baguette. Right now as it is cold, I still let that rise overnight, but I hope in summer when my house can get hot I'll be able to simply mix it early morning and bake just before dinner.

Do you think you could do that cheddar waffle as a pancake instead? I don’t have a waffle iron. And it seems like it would keep things simple, but I’m afraid the cheese would fry to the cast iron pan?

I love this channel and videos for what they are. But possibly regretfully, I have to stop watching. I wind up feeling like I fall short as a mother after seeing this. I mean no offense to Lisa at all. But maybe there are other viewers out there like myself, and it's ok to feel this way, and best, at least in my own case, to chose not to watch at all. Thank u for the lovely videos and entertainment, and moments to slip into a personal "Fantasyland" for a few minutes each week. Best wishes to you and your lovely family! Signing off!

You are such an amazing example to just try new things, and to keep going and not worry too much about everything being perfect. Because of that you have become so good at so many things! I’m in a similar season of motherhood-lots of kids, homeschool, homebirth, cook naturally from scratch. But I still sometimes stress about things that don’t matter. You remind me that it all works out! Just keep going. I don’t even know if that all makes sense, but either way you’re a great inspiration, thank you and God Bless. ❤
