I've never used the canned sausage gravy, but I've heard other people that it is decent, especially to have in preps for in case of. My husband uses those sausage patties along with the frozen pancakes and makes sausage cheese sandwiches for his breakfast if I don't make some type of breakfast stuff and freeze it for him. We've used the turkey pepperoni before…we couldn't really tell the difference when using it on a pizza. I am sausage picky and I do like the Great Value brand of sausage, most of the cheap sausage I won't touch.
Prices are insane here in Western KY as well. I have over $200 worth of stuff sitting in my walmart delivery cart waiting on my smaller pension check to pay for it…and sadly, most of that is NOT food…it's trash bags, freezer bags, toliet paper, dog food, allergy medicine, and so on…
