I love your meals! I've been on Keto for about 9 months. When I finally got it right I lost 12 lbs. Then my 84 year old Mum was misdiagnosed with bursitis and actually had cancer. Three months in and out of 2 hospitals and ended up in a nursing home where she died September 11th. Very hard to eat low carb on hospital food.
I'm just getting back on the diet and so glad I found you. I have type 2 diabetes and my doctor will not work with me to avoid medications. I'm not sure where to turn for help with this. Insurance does not pay naturopatic doctors or nutritionists. Any suggestions?

It's important to have enough carbs in your day. Obviously these meals were not a full's day meal so I can't tell if you have enough or not but from what I can imagine, I think you are missing out. Our brain uses about 130g of glucose everyday just to function, plus glucose is the main fuel for our muscle cells. When we don't have enough carbs, our body actually breaks down muscle cells to create energy that is similar to glucose. Our brain can then adapt to using those molecules. However, this is not ideal as you are loosing muscle mass. Also, if this continues, our body then goes through fat cells and then that creates what we call ketones. It's a by product released when we burn fat if we don't have enough carbs. Ketones are toxic for our body. It is true that most of us are eating too much carbs, however, too little is also bad! Balance is key! Good luck.

This format for your meal prep videos is really nice! The upper title and individual ingredient info on the bottom is very helpful, as is the list at the end. I find your videos really useful and aligned with my own tastes/needs. Just wanted you to know how much I appreciate it.

I really enjoy your meal prep videos, you always seem to do quite different and unique recipes. The only thing I don't enjoy is the kind of going back and forth between recipes. I know you obviously are doing all of these meals in one prep session and have multiple things on the go, but I think it'd be helpful if you focused on one recipe to completion before moving on to the next one.

Looks very nice! I am always hesitant to try meal-prep because I think that most meals would taste weirdly after a few days in the fridge…? I mean that meat releases more liquids for example
