I just love seeing you in your mega kitchen! Such a beautiful space that’s so practical for your big cooking days! I almost never sit and watch a video this long, but with yours, I’m happy to do so and it’s very motivating 😊

You are amazing! I always admire how you get so much done! I love canning tomatoes. I find that it is easy to do when they have been frozen first, but I always core my tomatoes before freezing them. Once they start to thaw, the skins slip right off, and the excess liquid I easily poured off. From there, I like to just can chopped tomatoes. That way, I can use them however I need them later. I usually just use them for chili. Lol. Becky's way is easy, too! I know whatever you decide to do, they will be great, and it will be fun to watch! Blessings! 🥰

I did tomato sauce many years ago and haven’t done them again. I decided I’d just do diced tomatoes. It was easier, I thought more rustic but back then tomato sauce was very cheap ~ 10 cans for a $1.00

I found you maybe 8 yr.s ago making Freezer Meals. I loved that you got elbow deep in there and made enough to feed your small village. You had my respect from day one! I really just love your "can do" attitude. And when Momma needs a break she takes one. You make a plan and you do it. I think that that has been very inspirational for us all. But much more than that Jamerrill, you are humble, kind, generous, down to Earth and forever malleable to whatever life has to throw at you. And I truly aspire to be more like you in every way that matters. 💋So back at ya!

I love your Hutch. It has a great familiar look to it. I think of your kitchen as a welcoming Cafe. The invitation is always there. Also Sour Cream is almost always added for cooking. It's not a salad dressing it's an ingredient. The amt.of biotic protection you have doesn't grow with probiotics but gets maintained with probiotics. Prebiotic foods are what creates the wellness. Everything looks great. Be well The best.

My grandma, then mom, now I blend whole tomatoes, bring them to a boil letting it roll until the foam on the top disappears. Then we water bath can for 10 minutes. I’ve done some 1/2 gallon jars for large family cooking. I use these as a base for all sorts of meals, including turning it into spaghetti sauce by adding spices and tomato paste. Hope this helps.

I have the smallest All American canner & love it, no gasket! How do you keep your hands and nails so pretty with so much cooking, dish washing, and hand washing? Mine are worse for the wear. Vinegar tip – I pour some in a small bowl for use while cleaning jar rims, then I pour the remainder into my canner before processing. Thanks for all your hard work videoing, you are truly an inspiration 😁

My best advice ( coming from someone who raised 9 kids with a huge garden and processed a lot of food from it) the one one piece of equipment that I never regretted investing in was my electric tomato strainer. ( peeled and strained the tomatoes for canning)loved loved loved it! We have retired from all that since our children are all grown but I’ve passed it on to one of my children. They love it.

I do a basic tomato sauce with onion and garlic. It is the jumping off sauce. You can turn it into many many recipes from there. Hubby likes it with chunks of tomatoes so I reserve some and add back in after blending. Many Blessings!

Jamerrill you are always busy as a bee. You are the queen 👑 of canning. I have used a few different names because some people years ago and still can get mean. I have watched you since you started in the farm house. The throw back photos were so great. Time goes by way to fast. The kids were so little.

Tomatoes: when they're thawing in the roaster I ladel off the water they give off for quicker thicker sauce. I can't stand skins and seeds so I use a cone sieve like Jessica @Three Rivers. They're are crank machines like Jennifer @A Country Life uses and ones that attach to a KitchenAid too. Whichever way you're will be great!
