Do you have WIC available to help purchase the baby formula. It is based on income and the number of people in your household. Children under a certain age can also get vegetables, fruits, milk, cereal, cheese and other food items. It would definitely be worth looking into. You would need to go to your local health department.

Amy Mayron has lots of homemade ideas in her older videos. She makes yogurt in her instant pot. Good Luck with your homemade cooking! You can do it and you can use the ground turkey in the place of beef.

Awww I hope you're able to get a case of Parent's Choice baby wipes. We love them! I just bought a case for our first grandson due in September. I usually buy a case for any baby shower I'm invited to. Baby wipes come in handy, not just for babies!

Snack crackers and saltines are simple to make from scratch. Much cheaper than the pasta ones and variety based on seasonings. Also your refried beans…4 cans worth from one bag. Extremely cheaper. Pintos also much cheaper to use dried. Popcorn…huge bag of popcorn and pop on the stove. Also homemade pasta is quite simple. And cheap. I know it's impossible to change 100% all at once. You'd be up 24 hours a day to get started. Just a few more ideas to change up in the future. Good luck with all your new recipes.

Use the ground turkey for chili, taco meat, sloppy joes basically anything seasoned or mixed that calls for ground beef. I’ve made a meatloaf with it that mixes barbecue sauce in it too.
Buy less expensive boneless chicken thighs and use half what you normally would. Meat is for flavor. When you make the fried rice dice it small, like the size pieces of chicken you find in chicken noodle soup in cans. Sauté it in the pan first the deglaze for the flavor and add the other ingredients. I made my family pork fried rice with one pork chop back in the day. If you make something with smoked sausage or kielbasa quarter each slice of sausage. Small pieces will add more flavor and spread meat further. As I said, meat is for flavoring. I make chicken and noodles with just noodles and cream of chicken soup and everyone loves it.
Find a basic muffin recipe and then just add in chopped fruit, jelly or spices/flavoring. Zest those oranges too and store it in the freezer.
Check out Amy Maryon’s channel and Jason and Julie the Kreke Families channel. Monthly shopping and scratch cooking for lots of children.
You might consider introducing bar soap and washcloths. That’s a crazy amount of liquid soap. Also kernal popcorn would be a better buy. I always told my children a snack is a handful, their hand not mine. That would keep them eating less between meals and filling up on healthier foods.
These are just hints I see that could help from this haul. I was tempted to comment on the last video but I didn’t think you would go for cooking from scratch. It is the best way to save money. Enjoy the adventure.

Frugal fit mom has a great recipe for granola using quick oats and coconut and nuts of choice. Fried rice is super easy to make with leftovers and anything you have around the house. I have been using diced ham which I keep in the freezer but just used it up. My husband likes celery on top for crunch. I make our bread, rolls, bagels, soft pretzels, pizza dough, slider rolls and more but I can tell you it is so much easier with a bread machine which you can get super cheap used. It is time or money for sure! If your kids don’t like tomatoes, we blend all of ours so it has texture like ketchup and spaghetti sauce. Aldi has a cheaper ranch powder and you can also use popcorn seasonings on the oyster crackers. Good luck!

You need to use parchment paper to bake your cookies not wax. I make my own taco, fajitas, ranch mix as well as brown bean mix and so many others. I never buy brown sugar. I make my own by using molasses. You are going to have so much fun in your kitchen with the kids. Homemade is the best!

A healthy and cheaper pop corn is bag a big bag of pop corn 25 lbs. Put olive oil in the pan and add popcorn kernels. Put lid on. Hold lid on and shake your pan back and forth until you hear the popcorn stop popping. Sprinkle with salt.

Also, the more you make by scratch the more $$ to spend on other things in life for the kids. You can get the kids to help by having each of the girls to pick a recipe for each night of the week. They can help you by getting the recipe and ingredients together and you can supervise. Each child gets to be the “chef” one night of the week.

Use the pinto beans to make home made chili. Easy peasy. Refried beans and cheese burritos. Fried bean cakes with sour cream and cheese. Lots of ideas with pinto beans. You can even get dried beans and put in the insta pot to cook. Good protein for the kiddos.

Don't forget to try the oatmeal with the peanut butter in it. It taste like peanut butter cookies. Cook like always with sugar and then add a scoop of peanut butter in the pot or teaspoon in individual bowls.

Try finding a rotary grinder for your cheese and veggies. I got one from Walmart and it is the best purchase I have ever made. I don't buy shredded cheese in the bags anymore. And it's quick!!

You can use the ground Turkey and make chili and have a baked potato bar for a lunch with all the toppings your family enjoys. We make oatmeal cookie bars with 2 sticks melted butter, 2 1/2c oatmeal, and 1 box any flavor cake mix mix all that together, take 2/3 of that mix and press into greased 9×13 baking dish, now take 1 jar of any flavor jam entire jar mixed with 3 tbsp water mix tol loosened now spread over that oatmeal mixture, sprinkle the remainder of the mixture, bake at 350 til golden brown and jelly is bubbling, remove and cool completely, cut into squares or diamonds and serve. I guarentee you'll all love them.

I think you should get a Sam's club account so you can get a bigger bags of Rice, the Restaurant size cans of refried beans, & bigger bags of cheese & frozen vegetables. Sam's also has bulk liquid hand soap. Toilet paper from Sam's is the same price as Walmart for twice as much toilet paper.
Powdered Sugar you can make your self, just put granulated sugar in a blender & blend to a fine powder, brown sugar you can also make yourself by adding molasses to white granulated sugar. Good luck & have fun.
