Doc- Thank you so much for your vids. I've been watching them for about 4 months now. I enjoy your vids but wish they were shorter, like 5-7m in length. You provide so much info per vid it can be challenging to focus on the info you're providing.

I'm honestly getting more depressed with having diabetes and being poor, cheaper meats are affordable but not good, obviously shelf stable with preservatives are bad, certain fruits are bad…like what? Veggies forever with berries

I do not drink milk. It upsets my stomach. However, moderate amounts of cheese, cottage too, yogurt, and whipping cream do not bother me. I realized that fat does not make me fat, but decreasing my carbs to less than 50 a day makes me lose lots of weight while actually having to increase my fat intake to avoid losing too much weight. I am not saying this is going to be everybody's situation. After all, our bodies differ in the way they handle foods, even in diabetics So far my arteries have shown 0 scores on the CAC result. This approach has helped me to turn my prediabetic condition around. I check myself from time to time to make sure things are still good, and so far so good. I think the best thing a person with compromised metabolism can do is to check BG and test for insulin sensitivity to see how their body reacts to the foods consumed and develop a plan of action around these results. I may not agree with everything you suggest (according to my experience only), but I have followed some of your recommendations with success. Thank you,

I love this channel and the fantastic information. I encourage everyone to look into the Day two diabetes program. This program was offered by my employer for free and it has been a game changer for me. This program measures your unique gut biomes and uses an Ai based algorithm to tailor your diet to what you like to eat and has predictive technology so you can plan what to eat and know your blood sugar will stay in range. My a1c went from 7.7 to 6.4 in 3 months and I was able to eat my favorite foods. This is an unsolicited recommendation and it’s is not a magic fix but if you follow the program and take the awesome info Dr Ahmet gives each week you can have great success.

The only takeout that is compatible with diabetics are Mediterranean food such as Turkish food served up with bulgar wheat and salads, even for breakfast the Turkish breakfast is so healthy. I am so lucky that I live in the UK amongst people from Turkey, Cyprus and Greece with access to their food. Bulgar wheat is far better than rice and get even better when left overnight as it helps to regulate your blood sugar. Thanks Doc!

I ordered some super berberine and evidently the USPS thinks it needed a vacation, it was sent to Puerto Rico from Missouri on it's way to North Dakota. I know you have nothing to do with it once you mail it through the USPS, I just hope they get it sent to me ASAP and no more delays because now I have run out of my super berberine I had previously bought.

How about jasmine rice?It has significant lower carbs content than brown or white rice.According to their food label, white or brown rice has 125 to 129 grams per 1/2 cup of serving.Jasmine rice however has 25 to 29 grams per 1/2 cup.
