It’s funny how people are afraid to pick apples from apple trees and would say “I trust the grocery store apples” 😂. That’s as organic as you can get, picking apples off an apple tree.

My favorite way to roast any squash but especially butternut is to cube it like you did, add oil and then use an Italian dressing packet as the seasoning. It’s so delicious and my husband who hated squash requests it once a week 🤣 I love to leave it in until the bottoms get a bit crispy. So delicious.

We finally have fresh cranberries and I canned cranberry juice yesterday. I need to get more to can and for baking. We have a lot of apple trees. More than we can use and can but the deer enjoy them too. I’m so glad I discovered your channel during Souptember when we were both collaborators

Hello Jennifer and sweet family! Everything always looks so delicious.
I plan on canning lots of cranberries sauce and juice this year.
My mother (she is 83) loves cranberries and I do too, so I will be giving her part of it. She is not able to can anymore so I will do it for her.

I seen a doe bring her fawn to eat apples from my apple tree and didn’t have the heart to scare them away. Everyday she would come eat the apples with her baby and I just enjoyed watching them.
I hope everyone is doing good and healthy.
Have a blessed day sweet family!

That beautiful cranberry sauce is a labor of love from beginning to end and it is so pretty. I haven't made that type in years, have mostly just done the whole-berry type that isn't strained and we do like it with a little orange zest and juice. Your meals looked great and I'm amazed you were able to film anything at all with how busy this time of year is for your family. Thank you for the video, I look forward to all of them.

You are such an inspiration to me as a homemaker/homesteader/wife/mom/woman. I appreciate the love that you have for your children and husband and I appreciate all the work you put into your home and children. I think you and I are about the same age and it lifts my spirits to see someone our age still looking forward and actively living and planning. I have so much energy and so many dreams–I'm not at all ready to "settle down". lol
I can't wait to start seeing cranberries on our store shelves (soon, I think!) and I plan to support that economy! My daughter and I plan to can enough relish to feed an army. We love it!! I had two bags left in the freezer from last year and we made a batch of cranberry sauce and put in the fridge (only 2 pints…not worth heating the canner).
Thanks for all that you share!

No one in our family will eat chicken legs. I don't even think they make good broth. My favorite is the breast and thighs.
You can really see the difference of instant mashed potatoes vs fresh.
Now we eat anything and everything cranberries.
