Thanks for using your Instant pot to cook spaghetti squash! I never even considered doing it that way and it saves so much time and burned fingers! Thanks also for the link to Wardees site. I signed right up!
BTW, I got started with my instant pot by making bone broth…the more you use it the easier it gets! Blessings!

After watching a few of you're instant pot videos I went out and bought one. I've already made a few meals in it and love it. Tonight I'm trying this recipe with some additions. Thank you for the to on the pizza sauce… Using that for the first time tonight also.

My oldest daughter and I are not fans of squash but we have never tried it this way. Would you say that it still tastes "squashy" or completely different? Ive been wanting to try squash this way but ive been very hesitant because I don't want to waist any food.

The spaghetti squash I purchased one time not knowing what it was. I got it home and cut it open and it looked like a bunch of worms! Well, I was not going to eat that thing. Never purchased another one since. Have no desire to even see one much less eat it. For this dish I would think Zucchini or Eggplant would work well to replace the squash. Probably just as low carb.

On the pasta sauce, I just purchase tomato puree in large cans. From that base I can make whatever I need for a large quantity. For small quantities I use the smaller cans of tomato sauce.

I recently purchased an 8 qt electric pressure cooker. I have really loved using it. I am still trying to figure out to make one dish meals that usually requires more pots or pans. I have also considered purchasing another stainless cooking pot for it. Then I could prepare two parts and add them together at the end. Or like you did take the first part out and place in a separate dish. Then add back into the pot at the end. For those that have an aversion to it, start simple. Just make a simple soup or even just hard boiled eggs. To learn the controls just heat up plain water to pressure and then release it. The more you use it the more comfortable it will become.

Thank you for the great video. The end with Emily was fantastic!

The last time I remember using a Pressure cooker; mom picked us up after school and when we arrived home there was smoke rolling out the windows and cops and firefighters filling the parking lot. There was so much smoke damage we had to move to a different appointment in the complex, lol.

We love our instapot. Cooks very fast and just takes some trial and error. If you want another alternative to low carb try spiralized zucchini for noodles, I actually like it better than pasta. Great video again…somebody needs to be the boss and cheese is good.

Makin' me nervous there with that knife, Andrea, and your accident prone reputation! Also – such a good idea to catch steam with the towel… I hadn't thought of that, my kitchen just turns into a sauna when I use the instant pot! PS- looks so good! This inspired me to cook spaghetti squash tonight. thanks for sharing!!

The way I make tomato sauce is to just cook down whole tomatoes that have been trimmed up. Then I blend them with my blender and can the sauce. I add spices as needed for whatever I'm making at the moment. And yes, blend seeds skin and all. We don't mind some seeds in our food but maybe you do. That's just how I do it. Lasagna looks good. I liked Emily's rating.

Portion control is the simplest way to lose weight. This is just too much to think about when your in a hurry to cook dinner. I lost over 100 lbs this way. Unfortunately for me I started cooking for a new husband that was tall and skinny no matter what he ate. I packed on some weight. But im in the process of eating less again. just takes some time to remember when you put stuff on your plate..lol Good luck. I just couldn't do that.

There must be a whole army of Instant Pot-phobics out there! And I was one of them… still am to some extent. It took me a full year to get it out of the box lol. The irony is I pressure can a *lot*, but for some reason it is different, at least to me. Thanks for this video. I really needed the pep talk! ~ Kir in Tennessee
