Scallion is Irish, the Septic's call it 'green onion'. Fusilli is pronounced 'Few-Silly'. Massive well done guys for this series. It will really break down barriers and help people at a difficult time. 30 years ago I wanted to cook Chinese food but the most exotic thing in my local supermarket was a banana. So like you guys, I improvised. I learnt that fresh ingredients with a good sauce, and the correct techniques will get you there. A really big up to Ken Hom who changed my life in the kitchen. Keep up the great work guys, we love you.

Hi lovelies!! Just have to let you know the only bit of panic buying I took part in was 2 bags of bean sprouts and froze them, specifically so I could make your chicken chow mien recipe. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—

what a great idea showing us how to cook outside the box as we all love chinese but we dont have everything when we are in lockdown so a lot of us will say [ sod it], you guys are amazing. many thanks.. p.s, i have 2 fresh packets of hotdogs.pps. dam you cook the eggs the right way, even tho the heat wasnt hot enough you made a point of saying it should be hotter and you bassed it, so many people put a egg in a cold pan its unreal it should be hot like a wok.

I'm in lock down right now. I'm pretty well stocked up but I bought a bunch of budget spam, tinned sardines and a lot of other mystery tinned meats.
Could you use your superior skills to give me some suggestions about how I could jazz up my bottom shelf tinned meats ?

I have no pasta. Haven't been able to get any for weeks as I had to self isolate before this lockdown. But i have plenty of flour and I'm going to attempt making it myself. Wish me luck lol

I think isolation is getting to me a bit as I got way too excited when I saw you fry the egg the same way me and my family do! No other cooking channels do it like that! Its normally always eggs burnt on the bottom and bright yellow yolks…bleh!

My local takeaway does a 'chow mein with smokey sausage' and it is literally a standard plain chow mein (with beansprouts and onions obviously) but with sliced hot dogs in it. I rarely have it as I prefer my 'side dishes' to be a bit more plain, but it's bloody great and if I was only getting a snack, that's the one. Also, I'm sure some of the bowls of dan dan mian I've had in my life have actually had some thin sort of spaghetti rather than noodles (the mian).

Really good idea ! We all need a bit of culinary inspiration given this much time at home…..funny coincidence cos I made your noodle side dish tonight, but had it as a main course…. really tasty ! Good luck both of you…๐Ÿ‘
