What is the difference between chicken stock and chicken broth? Some recipes I follow call for chicken stock and some say chicken broth. If i make my own broth as you have done can I just use broth for every recipes?

If you leave the skin on the onion you put in your chicken stock it will add yellow color naturally. Just wash it well . My grandmother left the couple of carrots and celery ribs whole too. She removed them and strained the broth. . My grandmother always did that. If she turned the stock into vegetable soup she would add cut up celery and carrots and onions and whatever else was in the garden then.

I love the idea of doing this in the sink! That just takes care of all sorts of problems! I appreciate the point about prepping if your older that your more likely to eat healthy. I find a lot of time that I am making junk choices because I am just not wanting to fuss with dinner.

Thanks for the great video Tammy! I got kind of homesick watching you. My Dad was a butcher for A&P for many, many years and we always cut up whole chickens in our house. He used a narrower boning knife and he sharpened the knives with a steel every time he used one. He always said you would cut yourself easier with a dull knife than a sharp one. He and Mom both could cut up a whole chicken expertly in under a minute. Man was I spoiled! Also I learned a great tip from a neighbor to keep your celery crisp and fresh much longer – wrap the whole thing in aluminum foil instead of the plastic bag. It really does keep it a lot longer.

You are so sweet. My grandma taught me how to cut up chicken when I was a little girl. Im 70 now. Grandpa would take care of it and we would clean and cut it up and fry it. Fried chicken was the only thing I could cook when I got married. Love the way y'all cook.

Mayonnaise and peanut butter, banana sandwich! oh Lord have mercy! Not in this life!
Maybe I should add it to my bucket list. I prefer Miracle Whip though. I agree with you
about the squirrels there just rats with tails. Now my grandpa would also trap the squirrels
and take them 3 miles to Minnehaha Falls to release it but he would say that by the time
he got back home, that Mr. Squirrel beat him back there and also brought 5 of his friends!

The one thing we often forget to sanitize is the faucet handle (and built-in soap dispenser if you have one). When I clean a chicken, I always dig out those pieces of liver or whatever it is that is stuck to the back bone next to the thighs. That is not good for stock but I do like to throw in the wing tips and neck bone.

I am the kind of person who needs all the help I can get! Your videos are sooo perfect for me. I sometimes have to watch a video several times before I can follow instructions! Then, sometimes I have to turn it off and on so I can do a little, turn it off and on till I finish. Also, your hints are fantastic! I like to know “why” so that makes you one of my favorite! Thank You for sharing your cooking skills. Praying you and Chris are getting better. Getting Covid is no picnic at best! Take care y’all!!! 😇🙏😇💞

Tammy, don't know if you will see this message but i put (sprinkle) baking soda lightly on your plants. Good for bugs and etc. May you could try that. Baking soda is cheap. I had great tomatoes. No Bugs or etc touched them. Set up home made Squirrel feeders. Don't hurt them. Or catch and take out too the country. Love your channel Tammy and Chris. God Bless.

Yeah! Mayo and peanut butter and banana! I have eaten peanut butter and mayo, and peanut butter and banana, but never all three together. You really know how to live! I'm going to try that.
