We all know that ginger turmeric tea is good for inflammation and a good tummy tamer. But did you know it’s tasty, too? This spicy and healthy drink is a great …
This is great! I saw this recipe on your blog and have been meaning to make it so seeing it live is very helpful. Thank you for such a great idea to use the instant pot! I also buy my turmeric root from Asian markets and I love how much more affordable it is!
Good grief!!!!
Blah blah blah blah most of the time!!!
Get on with it.
No one needs 15 minutes on how to peel ginger!!!
Kathy, here's my blend of dry spiced golden milk blend. I drink several cups of golden milk chai tea a day so I make a large batch!
*My Bulk Golden Milk Powder Mix
Ingredients
:
1 cup Turmeric powder
½ cup ginger powder
½ cup pumpkin pie spice powder blend
1 Tbsp nutmeg powder
1 Tbsp clove powder
2 Tbsp cardamom powder
1½ Tsp organic stevia powder
3 Tbsp monk fruit powder
or equivalent sweetener of choice
3-4 Tbsp ground black pepper
Steps:
Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
Storing this spice blend is simple:
store in an airtight jar or container in a cool dry place until needed. or freeze in an airtight container
Spices have a long shelf life, this can be kept for up to two or three years.*
Notes:
This recipe can be doubled!
Makes great gifts!
*Spices don’t necessarily go rancid, or bad, they just lose their flavor potency after time, so use your judgment on the flavor if they’ve been stored for a while (it definitely won’t make you sick to eat spices past their due date, they just may not taste as strong/potent).
This Golden Milk Spice Mix can also be used in other foods as well: add it to your oatmeal, cookies, cakes, vegetables, curries, soups, stews, or even over tofu, or tempeh. The possibilities are endless!
I have been making a tea concentrate v similar! Instead of cardamom & tumeric I use dried elderberries (Amazon) & whole cloves. It’s delicious! I can’t wait to try your tumeric one. 🙂 So many health benefits in both!
