I just wanted to add a couple of things:

    1) We saw fiddlehead ferns on a Kapp'n island, and those are edible. Collectively when eaten, they are called fiddlehead greens. These could be used for salads.
    2) Community member AegisChRoME pointed out that the background for when you scan an amiibo shows images of bananas, durians, and fortune cookies, along with the tomatoes that we will have soon. This could just be random, but it's interesting that those particular edibles from past games would show.

I would love to see a video on more items spotted in the direct. I also heard that there could be more crops then shown and that there may also be ham involved. Can any one confirm or prove wrong? wonder if we'll be able to harvest honey or eat bugs?

It doesn't look like we will get other ingredients, how will we get non-fish meat?
My only guess is we'll have to buy some ingredients from some one or we just customize the food some how.

There is a lot of things that still perplexed me. Like, how are we suppost to make ice cream, cakes and cheese without milk? And I just noticed the fried rice mold, so how are we suppost to make those without rice as an ingredient? I do wonder if there are other ingredients like those two and more that we don't see and if they exist in game somehow or if there cooking system simple ignore the lack of this ingridients and they just show up out of nowhere by cooking. If so, how are we gonna be able to make some of this foods, Like the fried rice, without this ingredients?
I do hope it's not the latter, because it would be disapointing and it would be really odd to make cakes without milk and eggs.
