This recipe was TERRIBLE. Like, spit it out terrible. When you blend the sugar with the lemon zest, the oils that come out take on a metallic taste, but you won't know it until you've already mixed all the ingredients together and cooked it. Total waste of time and 6 eggs. This is the second time this has happened with one of his recipes (the first was the awful strawberry cake). Never again preppy kitchen, never again.
I made this. On a scale of 1 to 10, this is an 11! Wife's taste buds are messed up due to chemo but this on toast is her go-to now! Discovered I had a knack for baking during Covid and finding this channel has really perpetuated my newfound hobby. Really easy to follow step-by-step instructions and awesome recipes!
