    1 leek, cleaned and chopped
    2 carrots, diced
    1 cup french green lentils

    1 fl. oz. water
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp cumin seeds
    1 tsp turmeric
    1 handful spinach
    3 cloves garlic, minced

    1tbsp flax seeds, ground

    Pressure cook leek, carrots, and lentils for at least 30 minutes.

    In a separate saucepan, add salt, cumin seeds and turmeric to water and bring to a low simmer. Add chopped spinach, and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until spinach starts to wilt. Remove from heat and add minced garlic.

    When the leek, carrots and lentils are ready combine with the base, and stir in flax seeds to act as a mild thickener.
