Love your videos. I am going to can some of the sloppy joe meat. I have plenty of regular ground beef put up now, but I love the idea of sloppy joe meat, ready to go.

I love seeing the stocked shelves in the background – what a comfort it must be to have all that food ready to go! I do a lot of preserving using my freezer – I store seasonal produce as well as tons of made from scratch foods…but I also want to learn how to do pressure canning. That’s my goal for 2023!! Thanks for all the inspiration and motivation!! 😊😘

It’s so amazing to me how YouTube connects so many people through interests etc. we don’t have much in common at all, Jessica. I live in a city, I’m single with no kids. I don’t have a farm or land or anything just a small backyard with a tiny garden. And even with all the differences, I find so much comfort and joy through what you choose to share of your life. Sometimes the internet can be wonderful 🙂

I'm a single person who cans, but the freeze dryer intrigues me. How do gravies work out? Poutine has been a huge comfort food for me the last few months.
I hope all goes well with your delivery! 💕

Glad I'm not the only one who thought Manwich had meat in it! I bought some to put in an emergency food kit… only to find out it was just sauce.Thankfully we had other option so it wasn't a dire situation. If anyone bought a ton of cans for their prepper pantry, you may want to can some ground beef to mix with it.

I had three children and worked until they were born. I never had the luxury of a helper when I had my kids. It was always home from the hospital and cleaning and cooking as normal. Never thought about freezer meals.

Love canning! There's never enough freezer space. I have one large stand up freezer and a smallish chest freezer. My husband just got 2 deer that we are processing ourselves and I truly need another freezer. One of my sil's was over and said maybe "santa" would bring me another freezer. lol THAT would be a blessing for sure! I've never canned venison but I'm definitely going to this time. Thank you for another wonderful vlog!! I'm so excited to meet this sweet blessing that will be here soon! I'm still voting for team pink 💕😊

Thank you for this video! I thought I was the only one who wasn’t into freezer meals. I have zero freezer space and find canning sooooo much more convenient. My husband calls meals in jars, “heat & eat” ….our version of fast food. Praying for you and baby ThreeRivers everyday 🙏🏻

I absolutely love your videos. I recently found your channel and admire you and hour husband so much. Not only do the two of you have such strong work values but the faith your bring to your children is so wonderful to see it is so very sad that people grow farther and farther away from our Heavenly Father. Good luck on the birth of the new baby to come. God bless your family

Something clicked – make soup base the size the two of us need, add meat and/or beans and broth when cooking. This worked well with vegetable-wild rice soup. Beats having a quantity all at once it would take a week to eat. The rest is portioned out for later (I freeze first choice) although I could can.

Jessica, you are amazing! I don't know how you do all that you do, let alone do it while pregnant, and so close to giving birth! When I was pregnant I wasn't good for anything the last month! Thank you so much for all that you do!

I've been watching herb videos – any plant with mucilage should help your throat; hollyhock, mallow, comfrey, plantain, the cambium of any elm tree – hope you're feeling better soon.

I also prefer canning food rather than freezing it.
Today I canned four pints of turkey meat, three pints of beef mince (you call it ground beef), one and a half pint of beef meetballs and eight pints of turkey meat in broth. All this food will be divided between my elderly friend and my boyfriend – I want to make sure they eat good nutritious meals, especially my boyfriend as he's way too fond of McDonald's.

I was soooo intimidated to open and use my pressure canner. It sat for months. I finally busted it open in August and tried it using jars of water as suggested in the manual. I've come to really like the process and am building up my pantry shelves little by little. It's just 2 of us but taking home made, home canned soup to work for lunch is such a pleasure. Continuing to pray for your last days of pregnancy and a safe, healthy delivery. TFS.

You asked what kid doesn’t like sloppy joes and that would be my daughter. lol I’d like to learn more about canning roasts. We bought a side of beef earlier this year and I still have a bunch of roasts in the freezer.
