Nah. The Nets playoff run means little in the grand scheme of NYC. Any sports team for that matter. However, the two closest teams who would fit that bill are the Yankees and Knicks. And this is coming from a lifelong Met fan. Only those two teams can move the needle in this city like that in a playoff run: fill up all the bars, and i mean all of them! make the whole city buzz. When they're in the playoffs, you have even non fans all over the place spending money. The Nets don't have that clout yet outside of BK.

They need him badly they are a weak 8 seed if they get in. With him they might put up a shot in the first round of the playoffs without him they lose.
