Yes Rose!!!!!I am so happy that you are speaking this truth!!!! You are speaking to a standard that is unhealthy for our international and local sisters. Thank you thank you thank you . This is righteous anger and needs to be expressed.

I am with you 💯 %, only want to object with one thing: beauty does not fade, it transforms! We also have to alter our conception of beauty, kinda widen it! Because, who decides on beauty standards? It’s us ourselves ! And women have to stop being so damn hard to each other ?!
And last question: what are these squishy tofu squares? I needs them!🤤 Great video as always!

I'm sorry to ask such a downer of a question, but if that corona virus does become a global pandemic, what foods can vegans stock up on in case of such an emergency?

I recently had the flu. First time ever, I don’t get sick often. I’m 5ft 2in , & in less than 3 weeks I’ll be 45. I was 119, got the flu, now I’m 107.8. I’ve weighed 88, I’ve weighed 130. I look my best at 110 to 115. Less than 105, & my curves disappear. ( I’m pear shaped ) wasn’t hungry, couldn’t taste or smell anything with the flu, but I ate a half or less bowl of soup per sick day except one, I couldn’t eat, only liquids. Sick for about a week & a half. Still my appetite isn’t quite back. Scared to eat “normal “ again, because I’ll gain the weight back plus more. Especially at my age. 🙁

I understand wanting to be healthy, but I don’t understand the obsession with looks. I even hear it when you speak about this topic, referencing the phrase “skinny fat” and believing they have fat on their bodies and they should excersize to get rid of it. The reality is as humans we will carry some fat on our bodies and depending on your genetics you may have more just because. Especially women, we carry a layer of fat around our bodies so Incase of famine we could still carry children. Let’s face it, the only reason we are obsessed with fat on our bodies is because we have been socialized to believe that we would be less desirable and less worthy as humans, not because we want to be healthy. Most people’s motivations come from insecurities. That’s where we should focus on changing society’s standards.

I've always heard you should weigh 100 lbs for the first 5 feet… and 5 pounds for each inch after that…So….5'6" should weigh 130 lbs….don't know how true it is..but that's just what I've heard:-)

Thank you girl!!! I’m half Korean and used to want to become an idol singer, like many of my fully Korean friends did. However, I was quickly told by them and others that I didn’t quite fit the beauty standard & would be considered unattractive because: I wasn’t pale enough, my hair was too thick and curly due to my Afro-Puerto Rican side, my face wasn’t small / round, I had too many scars all over my body, and the list goes on. I felt so ugly and disgusting and even went so far as to research skin bleaching to see if I could reverse the color I’d been born with. I cried and cried because I didn’t feel good enough. I didn’t feel pretty and I didn’t feel “Korean enough”. It’s been a couple years now and I’m so grateful I let that dream go and focused on just making my own music, because my self esteem would be completely non-existent if I hadn’t. That hot pot looked absolutely delicious btw, I’ll have to try it and share some with my mother! ❤️❤️❤️

I’m from Mexico and we have almost the opposite problem. Because I’m naturally skinny and so are my brothers, every time we go visit family in Mexico their hospitality with food can be almost aggressive sometimes 😭 like I can’t leave without finishing everything on my plate even if I’m full and they constantly give me snacks I don’t always want too. It is toooo much sometimes..

Oh, Rose! This was one of my fav videos of yours! So many things in one video…namely your heart! You always make me laugh…that's a given…but this video was very…what's the word…authentic? Thoughtful. Raw. Real. And human. I say fuck it…people should eat what they want, and balance it out with other fun things in life by being active! Human beings get caught up in the most ridiculous shit, and it is especially sad to see the "norms" that women especially are made to feel they must buy into! Lots of hugs for you, Rose…you were ON POINT today! And btw…you're so cute, and your hair is adorable today! Hi to Daniel!

I'm glad you spoke on this. It's hilariously creepy and dystopian to have a nation full of vain self-hating V-shaped chins and doll eye clones. 😂

Looks SO yummy, an epic vegan hot pot! I hear ya, there is WAY too much emphasis on people's looks, in South Korea and everywhere! I think it's human nature, but social media has made it even more so.
