The flat beater design is interesting. I assume kitchenaid would have tested one with the bar/bars across the middle but that pocket of unmixed batter defiantly is a problem I’ve experienced too. I’d love to see someone with a 3D printer made a flat beater that’s not totally open in the middle to see if it mixes better. The way i deal with it is just give it a few pulses up to speed 10 and it knocks the batter/dough around enough to mix that middle part.

Hi Amy & Eric!!! Yes that's a cute mixer. I don't like the color but for that cheap price I would take it. It worked good on your pumpkin cake. Nice for little things. Good review. Great video!!!…

I can see the advantage of the mini for those who live in an apartment or small condo and space is at a premium.
P.S. I think that pumpkin cake would be awesome with some pecans or walnuts.

The Mini has a surprising amount of power for its size, because of the DC motor. In spite of the lower wattage of the Mini, it actually has more power than the Artisan, the Ultra, or the Classic. So I would consider using the Mini for a bread recipe before I would the Artisan.
