I tried this recipe today. I did not have 5 Spice so I used nutmeg, star anise, szechaun pepercorns, and chili flakes in addition to the other ingredients. It came out AMAZING!! Served it over mixed greens as a "bowl" with guacamole, salsa, sour cream and a generous squeeze of lime. Appreciate your content as always.

Never add cheese to the carnitas! Guacamole, very fine chopped onion and fresh coriander is what you put with them in the tortilla, plus chile salsa (with red or green tomatoes). A tip from a Mexican fan or yours, 😉

I was so impressed with your videos when I discovered them the other day. To make videos like this you must be very smart, very funny, and very yourself. So I'm not surprised to hear you give love to Chef John, whom I've considered my culinary mentor for 10 years now… even though I've never met him 😉

    Keep up the good work!

as i'm seeing this perfect pork skin with the fat inside, wanted to say that it is not that difficult to make lard by yourself ? it takes a little bit of time but for sure worth it and also you can also make a video while making it 🙂

Another great recipe Sahil! Made this today and it's amazing, so good!! You asked about other recipes – I like Thai and know you have some of those, don't know if you have any Vietnamese or Korean – so I'd be interested in those. Thank you so much for all you do to help us on our keto journeys. 😀
