    I cannot understand what he saying in the beginning about adding a quarter cup of granulated what? What is the sweetener Iโ€™m not hearing it and I canโ€™t see the picture to read the label then later, confectioners what? Iโ€™m not familiar with this product somebody clue me in. ๐Ÿค“

    Joe. Flan and Creme Brulee are two different dishes. Flan uses whole eggs while creme brulee uses just yolks. The two dishes are also cooked differently. The flavor and texture are significantly different.

    Recipe:
    1/3 cup (80 ml) water
    1/4 cup (60 g) Swerve
    burner on medium high heat, whisk together until sweetener is dissolved
    when boiling
    2 heaping tbsp butter (32 grams) — whisk in until butter breaks down
    let sauce continue to boil, whisk occasionally
    dark tan: cut off burner, remove pot
    pour caramel sauce into 3 8-oz. ramekins
    ramekins into dish with hot water

    2 large eggs + 1 large egg yolk
    whisk together
    preheat oven 350
    1 cup or 240 ml heavy cream to medium bowl
    1/3 cup (50 g) confectionerสปs swerve
    heaping tsp (6 g) vanilla extract
    whisk; then whisk in egg mixture
    transfer into more pourable cup
    pour into 3 ramekins
    bake flan 35-40 minutes
    outer ring is set, middle jiggly
    let it cool down in the dish
    knife around edge of ramekin
    flip onto plate

    Joe.. why does the sugar crystallize on bottom after taking from oven ?
    It tastes Gud but crystallized sugar on top after flipping ๐Ÿฅฐ..

    My wife and I give this Flan recipe a side by side taste test against bakery purchased Flan. The flavor was indistinguishable from the store bought, the texture of this recipe was superior to the store bought. The store bought texture was less creamy and more eggy.     Saw your post and realized why I hadnโ€™t thought about making a keto version of flan. Flan is the most keto thing ever (minus the sugar). I just made it as a dessert for dinner today and couldnโ€™t be more happy with the result. This recipe works, the measurement are right resulting in a sweet treat. Thanks so much !
