It’s actually real sago flour krub Khun Pailin, because most of real sago pearl is hand-made on a bamboo plate. It left some flour like dust , but it’s still eadible. You can try next time.

Grow up eating sago (tapioca starch balls) almost everyday as cereal as a child in the Caribbean ( boiled with water bayleaf and added tons of sugar and milk😬, eat it with the pearls or without like a tea) I very very seldom eat it now if at all, was told it has zero nutrition and the pearls cause constipation, but that's so interesting about the palm tree pearl it's probably more nutritious than the tapioca?

Lemon sago pudding is a very old-fashioned dessert in Australia- usually served with vanilla custard. This was a favourite dessert of my Grandmother's. We pronounce it "say-go", but it was definitely made using the small tapioca pearls. I guess it was probably from the colonial era. Interestingly, the larger tapioca pearls were used in a custard-based dessert known in my home as "Tapioca pudding".

Where I’m from Papua New Guinea we have a lot of sago… not beads mostly the fine powder and different provinces cook it differently. The fine power is good for pancakes and a jelly like dish from the province that borders Indonesia

I have bought Tapioca pearls here in Australia and the instructions on the pack to make Tapioca pudding includes lemon juice. Mauritian friends make a pudding they call Sagu which has fresh mango in it.

I got these by accident here in Thailand, when my husband really fancied eating ครองแครง and I hadn't seen that the online product had options.
For one, it cooked way to quick. And it also tasted earthy. Not a fan.

Hi I live in Canada and we have in Edmonton or Calgary Alberta we have a store called TNT and they sell all kinds of Asian products when I went there to get my tapioca that is where I found Sago pearls they were the same colour as yours. I never bought them I was hesitant to know how to cook with them thank you for having them on your show. I just also wanted to mention they also sell tapioca in different shapes and colours which is a little twist for the tapioca pearls to have them in different shapes. I hope this helps the Canadian people watching the show to know where to get Sago pearls.

Great content!! Your authentic Thai recipe is always yours bread and butter. But I imagine it would be harder to find a good next dish.

Basically guessing you'd go regional food or more of 'fusion' style. But this type of ingredients information is pleasingly surprise me ☺️

    You're expanding your horizons!!
