So part 1 was a Spaghetti Western, part 2 is DaVinci (Spaghetti code). I love these videos.

Side Note: I just want to know where Harper got that decoder contraption thingy at the opening scene.

Historian answer: No. But its still authentic italian food. Meat is expensive, and italy was under a period of hardship that saw a lot of immigration to america, where wages were much higher and meat was much cheaper, so the real actual italian people said "oh wow this is amazing lets use this cheap meat". So calling it not italian food is bullshit, as the recipe was invented and used by real italians, just not in italy. I dont think that makes it inauthentic, and its delicious food. if there is one things italians love more than pizza and pasta, its criticizing people for cooking pizza and pasta differently from them.

I absolutely love pasts, but I have problems with gluten in flour, so I usually feel horrible after eating pasta. I just wonder if Italians experiencing similar problems since they consume a lot of pasta?

Being of Abruzzese decent, I am very familiar with spaghetti alla chitara (with or without meatballs). Thank you for making a dish from the Abruzzo region. I grew up eating that dish because it was my father’s favorite pasta. Love it! Love all these great videos from Italy!

These weird Italian hangups drive me nuts! Spaghetti and meatballs is an Italian-American dish. We came here before there was established restaurant Etiquette where there is multiple courses.

To close, it’s instructive to look at the writings from 1950 of Sicilian restauranteur Niccoló de Quattrociocchi, as quoted in Mariani’s book:

Niccoló de Quattrociocchi reported in his memoirs that he’d dined at an Italian restaurant “where I was introduced to two very fine, traditional American specialties called ‘spaghetti with meatballs,’ and ‘cotoletta parmigiana,’” which he thought were “just for fun called Italian,” but added “as a matter of fact, I found them both extremely satisfying and I think someone in Italy should invent them for Italians over there.” – the Smithsonian Channel

Mia madre faceva pasta e polpette insieme nello stesso piatto. ma la motivazione e che così dopo doveva lavare meno piatti, quindi prima si mangiava la pasta e dopo le polpette. Stessa cosa per le spuntature
