my steam valve doesn't seem to just lift off. I don't want to pull on it too hard. Is this normal? I have only used it twice so I am VERY new to this. thank you
Are you kidding me? I love this thing. do7.pl/Cooker1 I’ve been using a similar product by a trusted Korean brand for years, before Instant Pot was available. Eventually I broke the lid and also wanted a larger multicooker to make large batches of homemade dog food, on top of my own meals. This machine not only does an amazing job at that, but the Korean rice that comes out of this is restaurant quality, far better than our old Korean multicooker.
I own the MAX version of this pot. Very similar touch screen and one knob control but eight less control point features on the touch screen. The MAX is now discontinued and the Ultra has replaced it.
I like your recipe, although I'd probably use good 'ol butter instead, which is healthier than most oils – and there's enough salt in cheese, so no need to add more. Your heart will thank you! My compliments for using disposable gloves and silicone ones.
Better to use butter for taste and coronary artery health. Canola oil was promoted as healthy by the USDA in collaboration with the canola industry to the detriment of us all. The polyunsaturated oils oxidize readily in the body and create inflammation in every cell. No joke.
I have the ultra ordered and arriving soon. Please explain about the yeast. You heated the water for yeast, maybe making bread? I bake breads also, did a sourdough today for Christmas. Thanks for this video as I need to learn.
I love this thing and use it all the time.>>>ur2.pl/1046 Mostly for chili and pozole, but I've also made yogurt in it. I've barely scratched the surface of its capabilities, but easily prefer it over my crockpot.
I liked the video. No questions unanswered, well done. I can't wait to try it. 2 things: 1- If you can give up all refined sugar and all processed, so-called "food" (this means just about everything that is prepared, like garbage in a box, pre-made garbage in a can or bag, etc), you will live longer, feel and look better, and you will not need to worry about calories. If you are over-weight you will automatically get down to the weight nature intended for you. This is what happened to me. I am 5' 10" and weighed about 205 for many years until I gave up refined sugar and processed garbage. I didn't even try to lose weight, it just happened. In about 18 months I went from 205 to 165, which is what I weighed in high school. I pop a teaspoon of real butter (organic) whenever I feel like it, just as you would eat candy. Stevia is an incredible sugar substitute. It does not affect diabetics either. 2- I noticed you had some "First Street". If you got that at Cash & Carry (now re-named to Smart Food Service) you can buy or have them get it for you a 1 gallon tub of organic, extra virgin coconut oil that comes in a nice pail with an airtight lid an handle for $37. Coconut oil is LIGHT YEARS ahead of the canola garbage you are now using. It has a high smoke point and is VERY healthful to consume. (Straight cc oil is another thing I will pop like candy). It will melt at the temp of a warm room. I keep it on top of my frig to keep it soft. C&C can also sell you organic un-filtered raw honey.
So when you set the pasta to high pressure did you press down on the knob? Or do you press it once it starts the cook cycle? I set my pasta for 4 minutes and released the pressure like you did but mine was a sticky uncooked mess. Any idea why that would be?
I learned some things from you about the Ultra. I have one too but I have never tried anything on the ultra setting. I'm going to see if you have any videos already made using that setting. If not, would you please consider making a video. I just subbed to you so I'll be watching.

Boy this is an OLD Instant Pot.
Why would you not use the butter, but instead the oil? Butter adds flavor.
Looks great!
Why does the food stick to the pot?
Shit video Ted

Your music choice is cruel, it's like the animal crossing theme meets smoke on the water but not really exactly like them.
I never heard anybody call macaroni noodles….
So, it’s Preheating+3. I get almost the same instant pot, I got confused with cooking time and Preheating.
Please tell how to use the ultra mode!
Looks great! Will try this!

Great video. Quick, concise, no hemming or hawing, no ums, very easy to watch and informative. I can't wait to try this!
Why oil instead of butter?
How long does it take to build up pressure before the cook mode count down begins? 30 minutes to 1 hour???
Love, love, love the musical accompaniment 😎👍🏼
Ted, nice video thanks, guess what I am having tonight…
What type of cheese did you use for this. I have tried mac and cheese in the IP but the cheese is so chalky tasting using cheddar.

I never thought of using the Instant Pot on Ultra setting to reliably heat water for yeast. Excellent idea!
Great job! Gonna try this one too!
why is he using gloves if he cooks for himself, what a weirdo

Do me a favor please! Stop using Canola oil it's Very Very BAD!
You're a cutie!
