Since I love cornbread so much…it almost feels like I spent a lifetime perfecting my recipe, to my own taste buds lol It's pretty like your recipe here, except I use only 1 egg, tsp sugar, sour cream, buttermilk and melted bacon grease or lard…I don't even have the measurements, except for the sugar…because I have made it so much, I just know about how much, by look now. I also only use my cast iron skillet to make it in too…I have one that I use just for cornbread and it stays seasoned…I do love cornbread…lol love you gf!! tc too😊🙏💖 That is so sweet that you made this for your Dad for Father's Day…what a really thoughtful idea!!💖

I have to say Tressa, I like the way you made your greens better than the way most people make them…you do it sorta like I do…I don't like it when people just throw in the bacon or sausage, instead of rendering it first in the pot, they cook the greens in…it just makes it taste so much better rendering it first. I do the same with dry beans too…you also can talk all you want to…I love hearing what you have to say and I love your voice too, gf!! I never tried adding vinegar to my greens while they were cooking…we just always poured some on top, when we put them on our plates…I am going to have to try it your way and see if I like them…I'm sure I will…everything you make and I try here, turns out tasting so good!! TY so much, Tressa for the recipe too. Tressa, you make your videos whatever way is easiest for you…I so enjoy watching you, you couldn't make one, I wouldn't enjoy watching…lol love you gf!!🥘😊🙏💖

My mom made collard greens when we were young and they were so good! We actually added just a little vinegar on top of our individual serving. I have never made them myself but I think I will try them in my IP. My husband doesn’t care for them and gives me a weird look when I order them at a restaurant 😉! What does he know!
You did a great job on your greens! We also ate cornbread with dinner every night! Boy does cornbread taste the absolute best cooked in cast iron! I cook almost exclusively in cast iron, I love it!

This looks wonderful! I love greens. It's very interesting to watch you do a whole meal, actually. When you talked about your cast iron skillet and not using it on your stove I was surprised a little by that. I use mine on the top of my stove and its exactly like yours. The mfg. told me to be sure the bottom of the skillet is flat with no ridge around the edge. And don't slide it across the stove. Pick it up to move it.. Oh, and did your dad like the greens?
