I have been experimenting, and I have a winner!!! 2 cups vital wheat gluten 1/2 cup nutritional yeast 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1/4 tsp pepper 1/2 …
Thank you. My daughter doesn't like the flavor of nutritional yeast. Should I substitute something else or just leave it out and use less water?
Txz soooo much for the successful experiment! I’m hooked on my instant pot and switching to vegan orientation!
HI, so many different seitan kneading suggestions on the internet. Some say, 3 minutes, some say 10 minutes. Who is right?
Great recipe! My fiancee is asking what your blue bracelet is though, please. 🙂
Your recipe shows 1-1/2 broth to add to dry ingredients, in the video you have 1-1/4, which is correct or is the recipe so forgiving it is just an approximation of needed liquid to work this up?
Making this now but I’m making it into a big log that I can slice into lunch “meat”. 🙌🏻💚 So cooking it on manual for 30 minutes. Hope it comes out ok. 😁
Is there nutritional value to this?
I’m looking forward to trying this because I’m having a hard time getting mine to come out. How long do you knead it for?
Why not add all the ingredients to the liquid and then mix that into the gluten, wouldn't it be more even?
Not a criticism..just an idea.
Thank you so much for this video. I just discovered seitan at a local restaurant and couldn't get over how much it seemed like meat. I was so grateful to discover something that I could enjoy as much as I use to meat. I promised myself that I would learn how to make it, but didn't know how to even start. Then I came upon your video, and because of it, I know I will be able to be successful with it. I'm planning on making a big batch for Thanksgiving (so I will have main corse to eat, instead of just side dishes) Thank you again.
Thank you.
Seeing this almost three years after it was published and it is probably one of the easiest seitan cutlet recipes I've tried.
The only things I've changed were tweaking the spices a little bit, I also added bouillon to the water to use in the instant pot and before putting the cutlets in I dipped them in the broth to help with any sticking. 🙌🏼
Your little girl is darling. Wants to see what is going on with mama.
Have been looking for a recipe exactly like this. Perfect for a single person with plenty to freeze.
I am here for just the tutorial, No judgements on your house cleaning, we all have our own homes to clean! Thank you for taking time out of your day to make this tutorial 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼
I am looking forward to making this recipe. Would you use the same time if making logs?
This is awesome! How long will the cooked seitan last in the fridge?
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR YUMMY DELICIOUS RECIPE AND DIRECTIONS UNDERNEATH SO WE CAN HAVE THEM FOR LATER THANK YOU
Thank you for this video! I look forward to making these👍🏻💓
Terrible Vedic
Sorry
Just found this video. That was brilliant!! Love the video and the recipe! Hope you make many more.
Revolutionary! I cant wait to get mine
can you do anything with the left over water in the pot
Why is my Seiten tough. Please
Love the photo bomb!
Good stuff. Thanks 🙂
how well does seitan freeze and at what stage should it be frozen
They look awesome just like chicken cutlets mmmm chicken parmesan would be on the menu, when I make it. I am new to this. Thank you for sharing❤️
Love the video!
Great tip mixing the dry ingredients first👍
My favorite new kitchen appliance.>>>ur2.pl/1046 Between this and my air fryer you practically can cook everything. I love that you can sear meat and then pressure cook it rather that dirty another pan searing and adding to a crock pot. I have already given out many as gifts. It’s the perfect wedding, new baby, and off to college gift!
Did i miss you adding any kind of liquid before you pressured it?
Have you tried it with the pressure release vs letting it release on it's own? If so, did you increase the pressure time?
thank you. good information
OH my gosh!! This is fantastic!! Thank you!!! <3 I made mine considerably thicker so I cooked mine in my PPC for 15 minutes, then did like you said and let it depressurize on its own. 🙂 will wait until tomorrow like you said to try them, but they smell sooooooo amazing~~ Thank you!!
I just found your channel and I really like how you explain the recipes! This weekend I'm going to do a marathon watch of your videos!
Still my favorite.
I sometimes make the dough into logs and use them to make vegan Wellingtons after. Such a versatile recipe. Thank you!
Plant Based Cheapskate ➡️ THANK YOU for this video!! I never “mastered” the art of making seitan….I could never get the cooking/baking/steaming step right to make the seitan edible…..my “InstaPot” cooked it PERFECTLY this time. I didn’t like the texture but I believe it was because of the kneading time……or lack thereof. It was a little too spongy for my liking but I know EXACTLY where my mistake was made. I am going to try this again with the right flavors, the correct kneading time and your cooking process! Will check back in……..”Please hold” (operator voice) 🤣😂🤣
