After being on the fence for months, I finally bought the Instant Pot IP-DUO60 7-in-1 Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker, 6Qt/1000W.

    Simple and clear explanation. I would suggest to use a 3M steam chemical integrator/ (visual) type 5 placed inside on the top where it won’t get to direct contact with the water like on a metal basket facing down. That way you can see whether it’s level of steam or sterilization is near surgical sterile processing. I will try it at home myself.

    I did the water test. After the float valve went up,the 2-minute timer starts, there was a lot of steam coming around the lid with a loud popping sound. I was scared and immediately turned it off. I checked that the ring is properly placed. Any idea what seems to be the problem?
