I didn't know what the plug was for either.
Is it necessary to allow the meat to sit for 24 hours to allow the spices to develop? I notice most of the recipes don’t do this.
Trying this recipe today😘😘😘
These look delicious! I always wonder why people love to shred their meat though. I so much prefer to eat chunks!
For carnitas, always use lard. BTW, lard is no longer considered bad for you.
Sounds tasty. Was looking for a new recipe to try. This will be the one.

Have you tried soaking the rings/gaskjets
in a baking soda solution. That might neutralize any odors?

When I made white rice, I measure the amount of rice I want to eat, then then add 3 times the amount of rice in liquid, so 1/2 cup of rice would need 1.5 cups liquid or 1 cup of rice would need 3 cups of water as the measurements inside the instant pot does not cover small amounts.
My 6qt instant pot which is two months old does not have a high pressure / low pressure setting, so I'm assuming it defaults on high pressure.
This is a nice recipe, so thanks Sandy. It's easy for the average person to make because all the ingredients are basic things in most kitchens. I'm also the first to comment LOL..
