So I have a recipe that says cook on high pressure for 3 minutes then NR for 18-20 mins. What does that mean? I just let them sit there on warm while the pressure dissipates on its own?

Thanks for explaining this. I just got an instant pot and the recipe I'm going to try said to first use the natural pressure release and after 10 minutes, the quick pressure release. I had no idea what they meant. Also my instant pot is different from yours. I have a button that says "press to vent and turn to stop." I'm assuming this means I do nothing for 10 minutes and then press the button to do a quick pressure release. I hope I'm right.

take a look round the back when it won't close again after you've taken the lid off…there's a metal pin that sticks out…maybe try just popping it back in again?

Great video ! Put me at ease while making my first meal with my new Instant Pot ! Knowing that I (or my kids) can't accidentally open a high pressure SOUP BOMB makes me way more comfortable ; ) THANK YOU !!!

Thank you so much!!! Super easy explanation! I just bought an instant pot and finished my test with the water and was ready to cook some Indian chicken when I read, “5 min high + 10 min natural release.” I was baffled how I program that! Lol. Mystery solved. Gained yourself a grateful subscriber 🙏🏻
