I just made this chicken using this recipe. Wow. What that smell? is it lime leaves? or something else in that paste? shrimp something. I had throw all this paste out. Some smell are acquired i think. The thing is i thought malaysian means malaysian muslim food which is closer to indian currey. This one has something else like sea weed or something. Terrible.

I love Malaysian cuisine, I hope you do more Malaysian stuff with the instant pot. Have you tired this with half the packet? Spicyness is not an issue for me, was wondering if half would make it too salty, though? . Great videos, keep them coming 🙂

An observation….. It seems that many of these recipes result in them being runny? I gather you can take out the meat & add a thickener or cook down the sauce.

Something you may want to try with chicken skin. I brown my chicken for my dish. If I'm making a dish that requires it to be stewed, I take off the browned skin & place the chicken back into the cooking vessel. I then take the chicken skin & place it on a plate. Cover the plate with a paper towel. I place it in the Microwave, set on high, and cook it for less than a minute. The skin becomes very crispy. I then dice or crumble it & place it on top of the dish I'm serving. This kicks the dish up a notch….LOL

Hi Flo, I have used the same brand paste before but cook it with chicken on the stove. Lovely taste but I tend to use 2 packages per whole chicken. I put potatoes, fried taufu, and add ladies fingers and aubergine in too at the end.I am getting an electric Pressure cooker coming today so will try this in the EPC. Love your video, will try out Boleh!!

Prepared Malaysian Curry Chicken for lunch today where I work. Made perfect rice at home and brought it work with all the ingredients for the Curry Chicken. It was a big hit. And they want more dishes in a few days. Will take a serving home to have for dinner tonight. Wonderful recipes and outstanding videos! I learn something new every time I watch the videos, Flo. Keep up the great work.
