I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. NOTHING can cook a soup like an Instant Pot. It cooks faster and it fuses SO much more flavor since no steam is escaping …
Great recipe, Jeffery. Thank you.
Excellent instructions, Jeffery. My wife loves Lobster Bisque,
Looks great tfs
One caution: On the Facebook IP page, there was a warning by one user to not bang your spook against the lip of the pot. Any dent would compromise the seal of the IP. Wood spoon? No problem. Metal? May be an issue. I usually just stir with the spoon and the hot liquid melts off anything sticking to the spoon. Just FYI. As for the recipe, I read somewhere that it is better to use a Cream Sherry rather than a Cooking Sherry… thoughts?
tried this recipe and it came out wonderful! I only add half a can of tomato instead.
Is this lobster bisque for 1? A lot of work for 1/2 cup of soup. You should use seafood stock vs. canned bouillon.
Rick Moranis throwing down bisque, yessss!!!
I absolutely love your videos man
I made this. It tasted a little too “tomato”. What size tomato paste can did you use?
Made this tonight! Absolutely amazing! Doubled the recipe and added crab. Delicious! Thank you!
Add finely diced leeks, fennel, celery and carrot in addition to shallots…..purée with immersion blender if needed after pressure cooking….really makes a great bisque! I like brandy instead of sherry but whatever floats your boat!
I love this cooker!>>>ur2.pl/1045 I grew up around pressure cookers in the kitchen, and knew of the danger that they could blow up if not properly taken care of. This cooker almost makes it impossible to fail. The fact that it's electric was originally why I was attracted. I usually prepare meals on Sunday for my husband and I to last the week. This cooker has made it possible for me to cut the cooking time in half, without changing the quality of the meals. It was a great purchase, I'm happy I did it.
Glad you brought the lobster base into the limelight, I never knew it existed. Thanks for your presentation.
Just found the lobster base at our nearby store. Can't wait to try.
I'm making Lobster Bisque for a putlock, so I need to cook for more servings. Would it work if I just doubled everything in your recipe? Thanks!
This must be for 2 people see he only use two cups cream !!!
How do you make it for six people.. looks like your's is for two people.. You don't say if this is for two or one
It did not look like it made much of a base. How many servings did you get with this? I was thinking of doubling everything but the lobster? What do you recommend?
I didn't see the your link for the Lobster base for Amazon. I figured it may not be much, but it will help you, if we buy stuff through your link. Thanks for sharing.
This turned out incredible, restaurant quality and probably better with lots of lobster. Thank you for another amazing recipe!!!
Just wanted everyone to know that the two bay leaves are not included in the steps of the written recipe….it's in the pics, though. I almost forgot about them! The bisque is in my instant pot now…..
This sounds and looks great! I haven't had bisque in forever because everyone started adding flour to it.
