Not for me..I can live without one. When I grew up my mom used a pressure cooker…and I plan to give away my crockpot after hearing Lisa say crockpots are unhealrhy. I will not spend money on a insta pot. Too much stuff.

You had said you would talk about why you love using it so much, but I didn't see where you answered that. I would love to know, as I don't see a benefit to getting one…..

You didn't finish explaining the hard-boiled eggs..or at least I didn't fully get it. You were saying they take 5 minutes but to keep in mind it takes 2 minutes to release pressure…I think that's what you said. Does that mean you release the pressure for hard-boiled eggs at the 3 minute mark? I know that's basic math, but I'm not sure if that's what you were telling us.

Can you get extra of the rubber rings that seal it for pressure cooking? My mother had an old style stove top pressure cooker. She often used it for baking potatoes. Cooked then fast and they were soooo good.

Hello Mrs Lisa, if you look in your manual under “yogurt” you will find that by pressing the yogurt button then the adjust button until your screen says “boil” you can walk away from you IP and it will bring your milk up to 180* with no thermometer checking or scorching of your milk. I also use the glass lid during yogurt making to have less of a skim on the milk top. Then depending on what time of the year it is – the temperature of the house effects cool down time- I start checking it around 3-4 hours with a thermometer until it reads 115* then proceed (add yogurt or starter) and use yogurt button then adjust button to set it to 8 hours. Jar up,refrigerate and enjoy.

Any brand better than another? The Pioneer Woman had hers on sale but no sure if hers was a good one. There are so many different brands on the market so it’s hard to know which one to buy. Thanks!!

Thank you so much Lisa for this amazingly useful video – so helpful to hear all the tips – I am going to try your whole chicken and beef recipes now – I’m already a convert from your brilliant bone broth recipe. Also I will try yoghurt ! Never imagined I could make homemade yoghurt for my family and you have made it so accessible and all your recipes are so good !

I wish there was an Australian version. We're on 240v. So buying a converter (or whatever it's called), plus a $500 InstantPot on Amazon is too much 😭. Has anyone had good experiences with Breville Pressure Cookers/Multicookers?

I just got one two weeks ago and I love it! I kept reading how tricky it was to get chicken right but I have not had an issue at all (knock on wood) and I cook a lot of chicken. I love this thing! Just made an awesome tortilla soup two days ago and will be making something tomorrow! LOVE IT! I will check out your recipes too!

Thanks for this post. Walmart has a 6quart marked down from $79 to $40. I saw a newer expensive model. I’m tempted to replace my slow cooker because I’m seeing a coating in mine too. Do you see a benefit to a newer model? I really don’t make a lot of crockpot dinners but see benefit in pressure cooking some meals

This video could not have been more timely. I bought my Instantpot a few weeks ago already and finally just took it out of the box this morning. I am realizing that it is way easier than I think it is. Looking forward to making home made yogurt!

Nice tutorial. We bought silicone lids for our pots so we can put the pots of food into the fridge. I recommend! Also, we are careful to not quick release beans because the starchy steam sputters and sprays everything around the pressure cooker.

Have two Instant Pots and the Ace Blender..Love them! I use my Instant Pot on my Island and never had issues using it there, it’s pretty safe to use but use caution as with any appliance..
