I just did a variation on this because I started cooking the onions and then I realized I had no red wine. I had marsala wine and I added mushrooms to the onions and kept everything else the same. It turned out incredible, it was like a creamy marsala sauce.

Jeff, got my Instant Pot today, Christmas Eve, and this was the first thing I made. Mostly because it’s the only one of your recipes I had stocked all the ingredients. It didn’t go well and was hoping for advise. Followed your recipe and cooking times. I guess I’m used to softer noodles, so although they were done I added another cup of broth and and pressure cooked an another 3 minutes. I prefer them a little softer but I went with it because I found myself in a quandary. The noodles were a little to firm for my taste but everything else was drying up. I ended up with hard sticky noodles that had incredibly good flavor.

Another successful recipe from you! I had tried to make this one other time and I messed it up, put it on sauté! It was a curdled mess…totally my fault. Once done just ‘keep warm’ and no curdling 🤗🤗 the fried French onions are a must with this one AND…might I add…a piece of Texas Toast 😳😳😳

This recipe is awesome, I have made it a few times, and the 6 qt pot is big enough to double it if you need. The 2 things I did was 1: use premade slow cooked onions, and 2: added brandy, 1 shot.

I tried this and it was delicious. The only thing was that I substituted large shells instead of campinelle (the local store doesn't sell it), it came out a little under done so maybe an extra minute or two. Other than that, perfect. I loved the flavor.
