I know this is an older video but I made 3 soup bases a few weeks ago so I could use up some celery and carrots I had in the fridge. I'm using one tonight to make dinner and I'm planning to use some ham lunch meat and potatoes. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I finally was able to use this soup base! I had made the bases many months ago. Tonight I pulled one out and added some ham slices that I had bought at Aldi's and I froze. I cut them into cubes and threw them in. I wanted to make a thick soup with what I had on hand so I threw in a carton of dried hash browns from Costco and some dried quinoa with veggies that I had in my pantry. I cooked it all for five minutes and it was perfect! Nice and thick and delicious. My son and grandson just came home and they got to enjoy it too. My grandson absolutely loved it. I plan to make this recipe again.

I'd love it if you could share some tips or more soup recipes. I can't seem to make good soup. It does not matter if I am using a recipe or making it up, it's always bland and we end up wasting half of it. Soup is so nourishing and economical, I need to master it!

I was thinking of making the soup bases but cooking the veggies and then adding the broth and water, letting it cool and then freezing it. This way the aromatics are all cooked already. I have the large cream cheese containers from Costco (like you use) already. I have the same IP as you have. Love it.
