I tried making this tonight and get the burn notice. I’m bummed. It looks like it would be good, but the rice is all burnt on the bottom. I don’t understand. How do you salvage a meal after you get the burn notice? Dump it all in another pot and try again?

Not on Facebook, but please make a video on making King Ranch casserole in Instant Pot. Just cooking for me so presentation of layers with browned cheese for the table not important. Oven not working so that is why I got the Instant Pot. Love these videos, tips, recipes. You are why I bought the IPot

I did the recipe exactly as it says and I’m getting “Food Burn” and it won’t work. That was a lot of money worth of food and now it’s ruined and we are hungry. My very first time using this stupid thing. I guess I better send it back.

I followed your directions exactly, but it never popped the pin up…when I opened to check it, the rice was scorched and stuck to the bottom which is why I’m sure it never got to pressure to pop the pin. I just double checked to be sure I added all the correct liquid amounts and I did. I used Jasmine rice. Any ideas why my rice stuck and browned? I’ve used the IP since and it works fine.
