Thanks! I followed your recipe to the T but 8 minutes wasn’t enough for mine to settle. Ended up at about 17 minutes all together , that set them up and weren’t watery at that point. But my son and I enjoyed them!

I love custard! I'll be more then happy to help you eat it! I make mine with a square pan. I cut in squares to serve. I may try this recipe in a round pan then pie cut. Thanks for the video.

I found an excellent tip for the smelly sealing rings. Throw your clean sealing ring in the oven right on the rack or a cookie sheet (which ever is cleaner) and bake it at 250° for 20 minutes. Carefully do a sniff test but don’t burn your nose! If it still smells pop it back in for 10 more minutes. Tried and true. I just did mine yesterday. Be 100% certain that your ring is 100% silicone. Who knows what the knock offs are made of, ya know? If it melts or distorts then it’s not 100% silicone and should seek a refund. Enjoy your like new sealing ring!

We make buttermilk pies for special occasions, and their filling is very much like egg custard. I should make this, and then I may try out a buttermilk custard version in my Instant Pot. Great share! 😊💙

Hey, Vanessa. My crock pot quit working 2 days ago. If you had your druthers…would you choose a crock pot or an instant pot. I can't afford both.

When I was growing up i had a lot of stomach issues. My mom would make me custard and I just loved it. It never hurt my stomach.

I think you would have used less electricity and less time to just put them in the oven and bake them.

Watched your egg custard video and since my Instant pot was still on the counter (I just made hard boiled eggs) I decided to give this recipe a try. I used monkfruit instead of sugar and smaller custard cupes (I got 6 servings instead of 4) and was able to stack them on top of each other in the pot. Just took them out and they look great. Can't wait for them to cool down so I can have one. They smell delicious. Thanks for all you do and the inspiration you provide on your channel.
