As everyone knows, I am a huge lover of the Instant Pot and I have several (3 others 8 qt Duo Plus, 6 qt Nova Plus and Pioneer Woman 6 Qt Lux). So why get …
I just bought today ! Thanks for ur video
6:23 I can see what your elbow is doing, but you're mumbling about the "usual" and I have no idea what you are putting on the side of the pot. This is my first Instant Pot, nothing is "usual".
Hi thank you for Your video and the tips that you were showing in the video.
I actually am waiting for the instant pot duo SV To come from Costco's to my home and it is 4/2020, And your side just so happened to pop into my ipad.
I decided to get the DuoSV because of the functions, and it looked like it had more to offer vs the viva(Which I had just got through the mail a little while ago and) I noticed That this viva did not have Anything with that except for 2 deal rings, 2 Instruction booklets and also the Condensation controller That's not seem to actually fit On to the veva instant pot.
I am completely new to instant pot and I've been watching videos and reading the directions manual that I received.I have a question about that condensation controller is it required to be on all of the instant pots when you use the instant pot?
I look forward to hearing more and learning more about the instant pot and the recipes and the special hints that everybody has to share that makes their instant pot easier to use and fun to cook with.
So, please if you have any special videos or blogs that you think will help me grow more comfortable with wanting to try (even the water test)And make new recipes and things a lot easier for myself please do not hesitate and tell me what you links to look at with blogs or with website and I'll be more than happy to read watch and listen to what you have to say because this is completely new to me.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with your instant pot journey, I truly appreciate all you have to say and look forward in learning more😊🎉
One other question, I had also just ordered off Amazon the instant pot air frying lid, and wanted to know if you have one as well, so I can learn from watching or reading what you have to share.
I did read that the Duo SV can not use the instant pot lid, and wondered if there was one that fits in the Duo SV?
Thank you again, for share your video, and I look forward to watching or even reading more so that I am confident that the water test will be a breeze and I will be an instant pot pie making and creating new recipes 😊
Again , Thank You, and I hope you are healthy and safe, and have a great East r Sunday🐰🐇
Bought it March 2020 at Costco $89 again!
Bought one march 2020 as a wedding gift back to $89!🤨
Risa, you seemed concerned about the length of time till it achieved pressure. The bigger and colder the food the longer it takes. This is especially true for frozen foods.Your chicken was huge so that's probably why it took so long.
I like the black button panel. I recently purchased from QVC, an "as is" DuoPlus (newest model) that now has sous vide. The "as is" products are items that have been returned or sometimes used in demonstrations on TV. Basically you take a chance and pray until it arrives. I already have the older version of DuoPlus but the "as is" model is blue stainless steele for just $55!!! Even though I didn't need it, I just could not pass on the price. When it arrived it is in pristine condition. Not bad at all for $55. Isn't it a good day when you get a new Instant Pot to play with?
PRICE UPDATE : it is on sale again at Costco for $79.99 minus $20 making it $59.99. COSTCO DID IT AGAIN!!!
Thank you soooo much, Risa, have the darndest time getting the lids on new pressure cookers and with the IP. Found your video to get me through the stress!! Thx for taking the time to show it. Am subscribing!
I cannot believe you used it straight out of the box before cleaning everything. Icky!
Saying "just as usual" isn't helpful to first time insta pot users. Wanted to make sure the valve thing was put in right, but all that was said is that it goes here, just as usual. Glad to know that the orange ring was an extra though, I was trying to figure out how to put that on too. The directions for getting started tell you to, and the picture is orange. So that was confusing.
I feel like we need you on speed dial! Thanks for the video as a first time ever IP user!
It's on sale for $64.99 until 12-24-19.
Did you get the pin to drop after venting? Or we have to push it down manually every time?
Great video! Very helpful! I’m going to buy it today! I also read on the website that one seal was for savory dishes and the other was for sweet dishes☺️
The most helpful video I've found
I bought it on Friday for $64.99 at Costco and it’s my first time buying IP. Thanks for the instructions since I don’t know anything about this.
I just want to hug you!! Lol! I bought the same instant pot at cosco for the same price two months ago. I let the pot sit in its box for a month before unboxing it. It looked so intimidating that I couldn't bring myself to use it. After unboxing it, I let it sit on my kitchen counter for another month. However, after seeing your video, I put everything together and I am finally ready to do the water test. Thanks for sharing your video, Risa! Hugs from Maryland!
Bought it today for $69.99!!!!
Thank you for the video. We're new to Instant Pot and wondering if the sous vide is wanted vs the longer time required to come to steam and to steam, etc… Given the choice which Instant Pot would you say is the best overall? Also, You said you have the Nova Plus. On the Insta Pot website they show a Duo Nova and a Duo Evo Plus but no Nova Plus? Maybe discontinued? Again.. thanks for your help!
I got my new instant pot from Costco via the sale. Thank you for guiding me through setting it up.
Thank you so much! I was confused using my Pot the first time! This is so helpful for my next time I use this! 🙂
Just picked one up today! Back to $69.99.
I just bought it but missed the sale 🙁 but still excited
Hi Risa…I can't justify another Instant Pot…I have 5! But, I also have a Sous Vide Demi water oven that doesn't take up nearly as much counter space as the bucket type sous vide with the separate wand. The water oven is completely self-contained and easy to use. I don't use it as much as I thought I would but it's nice to have on occasion. Much more expensive than the Instant Pot you just bought and it's a one-trick pony so you can't do anything else in it except sous vide. But there are tons of things one can sous vide that I never thought possible.
