I've been cooking my 10lb whole turkeys in my 8qt IP for the past 2 Thanksgivings and then I brown it up in the broiler. I love cooking it that way, so much easier and quicker than the tradition oven method that takes hours. One day I'll get me a DUO Crisp…one day…

I'm curious about how heavy is that lid. Plus, you have to make a space to put it down.
Also, stainless steel versus the Foodi ceramic coating. Which is easier to clean?
Plus, the Foodi comes in an 8 quart size.
    I'm liking my Foodi!
Great video, looking forward to more!!

You're being so coy about comparing the two units, what a tease!! haha. Last year I pressure cooked a brined turkey in the Ninja Foodi, then followed up by dropping the crisper lid – came out super!! I did part ways with the Foodi – it was a beast on my kitchen island – can't be hauling that baby around. So yep, considering the IP Duo Crisp – but waiting on your final verdict – I kinda agree, tho – the big difference would be that removable lid. As far as people here reporting issues with the Duo Crisp lid – the Food (when it first came out) – was notorious for having huge fan issues in great numbers – me being one of them. Of course Ninja sent another unit out to me. Point being – sometimes there are kinks to be worked out on first runs of new product releases. You're the best, John – another great episode. I really appreciate all the hard work, preparation, and ingredients you purchase out of your own pocket you put into producing these episodes on your epic channel!

You sir are a real food scientist that is a regular guy. You are doing stuff for the first time in many cases. Explaining what you did wrong, what you think you could do better on the fly and what you did right. That’s how we learn.

By the way that Turkey looks delicious. I myself have found the vegetables cooked in the turkey gravy to be as enjoyable as the turkey. If you want to cut the squash to the size you want watch this video. https://youtu.be/IJ3ZtXKqa08

Ok John, I need your honest opinion.
I bought an IP Duo Crisp and my Crisper lid broke after a few uses. I know I can get a replacement lid from IP but I'm now considering buying a Ninja Foodi Deluxe instead. I like the stacking rack and it's been out on the market for months now and ppl rave about it.
How do you feel about the 2? Do you prefer one to the other? Can one fit more food compared to the other?
Thanks for any input you could give me.
