    Very easy Recipe for dal
Soak lentils for atleast 30 minutes
    Wash it
    Then take a pressure cooker
Pour dal, water, salt and turmeric powder,
Close the pot and cook it

That's how we cook dal in Bihar, India

i beg to differ? i think that meat eating is more prevalent in the north rather than the south. in south, kerala tends to be a more meat-eating state but all other south states have more default vegan dishes than other regions. i can confidently state this as someone who has lived in both places

I really like this series where you bring a guest making a dish from their culture, it's super interesting, I love when the guests have little stories and anecdotes to go with the recipe, and it's way more compelling 🙂
Also I loved that this was a dhal recipe, dhal is so practical to do in big batches for meal prep, I only had another dhal recipe that was way sweeter in terms of savor, so this is really nice 🙂
Thank you for supporting smaller creators it's super cool 🙂
Oh and if anyone is looking for a nice roti recipe on Youtube, Tan France (the fashion guy from queer eye) has a nice one on his youtube channel ! ^^
