Wow! That looks terrific! I have lots of home canned chicken and turkey in my pantry and was wondering if I could make this in the Instant Pot for a quick meal. I’m just learning how to use the Instant pot, so your videos in this regard are extremely helpful. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Thanks for the video but I tried can chicken and I personally don't like can chicken, the only change is I would have used fresh chicken. I am glad you liked it and hope your son enjoyed it.

Thank you, these look just like the old fashion chicken and dumplings I’ve had all my life, veggies just don’t belong in there haha. I am going to make these for dinner tonight but I only have a large package of fresh chicken tenders, how long do you think I would need to cook and would the longer time ruin the dumplings?

Sandra, thank you for this! I've just purchased my Instant Pot, but have used the old jiggler 😉 for years. I was about to start experimenting because I wanted some Chicken n Dumplins. I may try the Southern Biscuit Company Restaurant L mix. It makes EXCELLENT biscuits. I look forward to watching more of your videos….now to catch up.

Looks so good!! Added flavor tip: try saute those onions in the instant pot before adding everything else, it'll add a great flavor! But I'll be trying this recipe for sure

I've made similar but I've found it's cheaper and easier just to buy a whole fryer on sale and I-Pot it for a half hour, pull off the chicken and using that. If I'm not making a huge amount I take any leftover chicken and make chicken salad. And no, I don't using baking mix, I mix my own. Thanks so much!

Sandra, i have a question for you. I am going to make my chiken and dumplins on the cheap and I mean CHEAP. I am mixing 2 cans chicken soup with two cans water into instant pot. Then(from a can) cutting buttermilk biscuits and adding all to the IP, High pressure for 10 minutes. Do you think this will turn out ok? Think the biscuits will be cooked well enough to eat?

I just purchased a Instant Pot. I confess I have yet to use it. What size is your pot since they come in so many sizes it would be nice to know what size it is so the recipe can be adjusted. How full did you fill the pot to start? Recipe sounds good. Thanks for sharing.

I have an Instant Pot I cook everything else in but cook chicken and dumplings stove top. Have to do it in the Pot. I add a can of peas and carrots and whole breast cut up.
    Thanks for the video…

I made this after seeing your video, and it was a HUGE hit! Even my picky teen had two bowls of it, lol. The one thing I did differently is use Pillsbury Grands biscuits instead of homemade, and cut them up into wedges like little pies before adding to the instapot.

Great video. Glad it turned out! I'll try this later today with some thighs I have already cooked & frozen. I would add some celery too. Wonder if cream if celery soup would help.

Thanks for the video with ingredients and instructions. So many others don't do this.
Why use a separate bowl to mix ingredients, why not do that directly in the IP bowl, 1 less bowl to clean?

Looks really good. Gonna try this. Thanks for sharing. You might want to fix the printed recipe you have below the video. You call for 1 can of mushroom soup instead of the cream of chicken you used in the video. Jus' sayin'. Thanks again 😉
