I made this today, and it tasted even better than I imagined! I’ve always been a bread pudding fan, but this version may be my new favorite. And this was so easy to make! I couldn’t find the same pretzel bread you used, but I found King’s Hawaiian pretzel hamburger buns. I was a little nervous during the prep, because I didn’t love the taste (too sweet for hamburgers, in my opinion) but in this recipe, they worked great. Thank you for another great recipe. 😄
OMG! Now I gotta run to the store for some pretzel buns! And not forgetting some vanilla bean ice cream to top this bread pudding with!! Amazing!! Thanks so much for coming out with all these wonderful recipes. My family LOVES your Sausage & Shells! It's the bomb! I know Richard is an Auburn fan, but gotta say it.. When I think of pretzels, I think beer. Would Warsteiner work in place of the vanilla extract in the custard and glaze? Or would it clash with the sweetness factor?
Some boursin would be good in the middle.
